There isn't much the catholic church could say to surprise me at this stage. They do seem to be actively trying to drive away people at this stage, seems a bit bizarre but if thats what they want who am I to judge?

Well, see, it's actually a gate and there's a fellow called Peadar there. He stops the bad guys and let's the good guys in. He's a fairly quick operator to manage to sort out the thousands of people who arrive every minute. The unions could do with some of that productivity these days no doubt.

I think its funny how people listen to these self appointed authorities on religion, especially given the hypocrisy.

To play devils advocate, Say Christianity is right and God exists, Who appointed authority to these priests and cardinals to preach and dictate how,when and whom may be part of the Christian religions?

Where does it state that these people are the voice of their god as apposed to being some cult of degenerates who are capitalizing on peoples beliefs and spreading their own personal prejudices as "the word of god"?

Charm offensive? :rolleyes: How is this in any way news? Of course religion (pretty much all religion) is against homosexuality, thems are the their retarded rules and they're entitled to be honest about them rather than pretending to change their principles for a "charm offensive"

You see, they can say 'God spoke unto me, he sayeth thou who is gay shall not reap the joy of the righteous and their names shall not be entered onto the Holy Guest List of Heaven and they shalt not drink from thy cup, nor eat from thy Holy Trough, but shall be consigned to the second circle for eternity'.

Religious types can get away with anything if they say 'God spaketh to me'.
