To play devils advocate, Say Christianity is right and God exists, Who appointed authority to these priests and cardinals to preach and dictate how,when and whom may be part of the Christian religions?

Where does it state that these people are the voice of their god as apposed to being some cult of degenerates who are capitalizing on peoples beliefs and spreading their own personal prejudices as "the word of god"?

i have news for this cardinal, the only person in heaven is jesus[thats what the bible tells us] its in acts 2;29-35 quote only person who has ascended into heaven is jesus.not mary not any of the apostles or saints are there yet,not untill the resurrection, but dont tell any of the priests they have yet to read it themselves

Id love to know where these guys get theyre info... think about it, the bible is like thousands of years old which wasnt originally written in english. This leads me to believe that through thousands of years of translation mistakes must have been made. then they didnt like the lies in the forst bible so they made new ones up for the new testament. Its a bit like a chinese whisper... everybody added their own little bit to make it more interesting!

My idea of hell is eternal life in a place that only accepts people who sacrifice all objective thought in exchange for false reassurance, who commit barbaric acts and evil deeds and can call them just, and who support others that do so by not speaking out or even acknowledging membership = support.

Many people who call themselves Catholic don't follow the rules and I would say many don't even know some of them. Like the Mafia the Catholic Church is fading.
Any religion should be allowed state their conditions and those that believe it is some kind of democracy pretty much misunderstand how they actually are. Many religions claim some divine right like the Catholic Church does.

As Jesus said he would be back within the life time of the apostles you got to wonder why people choose to think his word is accurate on any grounds.
