Worst pain you have ever experienced

I'm suffering from a toothache at the moment which is akin to someone repeatedly smashing my tooth with a sledgehammer covered with nails or something like that  and i find it helps to read of other peoples pain to try and put mine into perspective :)

So what's the worst pain you've ever experienced? For me it was gettig the cyst on the back of my neck removed, It was only suppose to take 20 minutes so they only gave me local anaesthetic but it proved more difficult than first thought to remove it so after 45 minutes it began to wear off so i could feel anything and everything they were doing to me including slicing the back of my neck open with a hot blade to make the hole wider and pulling it out of my neck with what i can only describe as a pliers. Ugh. :(

Anyway it was all in vain as it's back now bigger and hairier (sp?) than ever!

    Standing on an upturned plug.

And women: feck off with the "childbirth" thing. Try getting hit in the balls, right lads?

    Nitromors on bare skin.

Sure you can wash it off. But when you have to run from the shed to the house, unlock the door, nlock the inner door, then run through to the kitchen...

Uh, did you tell them about this or were you just sitting there for 25 minutes enjoying the pain? You sound like a masochist to me.

    KIDNEY STONES!! :(

Worst pain off all time, my clueless doc first diagnosed me with a mild kidney infection that morning, it was the night of my parents 25th wedding anniversary, i was in bed under anti-biotics, party happing with all the family downstairs, i went to the jacks . . . woke up after passing out on the floor . . . blood everywhere . . . i wont get into details. needless to say it was an anniversary the folks will never forget!

Ended up the longest day ever in the place where germs are born . . .(Beaumont hospital) :D

I have stood on an upturned plug, also a rusty nail, caught my hand in a door, split my ear open and broken my foot.... and childbirth still is by far the worst!!

Oh and a put out my back and broke 3 ribs!

    Sucker for action lol

I did but apparently there was nothing they could do about it since they had already started. I'm no masochist i was only 14 at the time.

Twas when I was four, was overwhelmed with pain though. Fell down a flight of stairs hit the hard kitchen floor with my head and my forehead split open. Very bloody, extremely painful.

Forehead sliced open (skull visible). Scar = awesome though. B1tch sitting in James' A and E for 7 hours waiting. It would be an even match between the awful queasy pain of holding my head in one piece waiting at 1.30am in the morning, or the awful sharp pain of feeling stitches in my forehead when I forgot to breathe in the morphne.

Smacking one of yer toes / shins off the corner of something, oooh the pain!

Had to go to the dentist for a clean-up. Though I was hard and said no to the syringe (I hate 'em anyways!)...............worst idea in my life!! I could feel her scraping and slicing up my gums. The piercing pain of a tooth would be like ice cubes rammed in-between your tooth and gum. That was just the bottom row.

The 2nd time I cowardly said yes to the syringe, that was painful as fùck but not as bad as last time. Then the dentist said "Right, I'll just give a once over on your bottom teeth" (She didn't give me a syringe for those!) and the pain started again.

    *cries*

EDIT: Actually the only good thing was that she was fit and her tits were resting on the side of my face. But the pain was too much to get a boner :(

Cutting that bit of skin between the thumb and index finger.

Seriously, the worst for me was breaking my arm in three places and having to have it all rebroken again as it had healed a little (I was nine and didn't tell anyone I'd broken my arm for like a week in case I missed my birthday). I was unconscious for the breaking part but once that anesthetic wore off it was the worst pain I've ever experienced, much worse than the original break!

I've experienced most of what's been posted already but nothing compares to having a molar pulled from the lower jaw. Anaesthetic doesn't help and it can go on continuously for over 5 minutes. Just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes.

    Do I win?

    KIDNEY STONES!! :(

I second that, sharp, intense pain.

And worst of all there is no position that you can twist into to make it any less painful.

Not supposed to give medical advice, so I wont.
I had a similar thing and rang the helpline, they found a local dentist, and told me to take Ibuprofen.
    Awake all night.
In the morning I booked myself in and got the stuff from the chemist.
Couple of minutes after taking it -boink- human again, no pain.
Went to dentist thinking antibiotics, nope. Graunch, he could have taken it out with a chisel and no anaesthetic. I wouldnt have minded.
    Get it sorted mate.

wow very similar to my post. I have a scar too, its cool :).

Also when I was young I smashed my teeth off the hard patio. Front tooth got broken into like 3 pieces, it wasn't really that sore but the pressure on the tooth was really weird. Had to get that bad boy pulled out too.

When it hurt when I urinated. A burning sensation that lasted during the excretion and afterwards, making it impossible for me to walk properly or run without the burning pain in my penis.
