Baptismal Certs are not recognised by any state agency AFAIK

Here are the rules for registering a birth - no mention of churches or baptisms

On the other hand there was a case last year where a Nigerian guy ran a fake marriage scam to allow Chinese people to gain residency in the EU. In return for money he would arrange civil marriages between Chinese men and local girls in Derry and Donegal. There was a documentary about this on the BBC last year. Some of the Derry girls were not bad looking if a little erm rough and many were already "known" to the police. But the Chinese guys only met their brides on the day of the wedding before moving on whereever they wanted to as newly minted EU citizens.

The funniest part of the whole process were the court appearances,most of which took place in Donegal.
Because they involved non-EU citizens a judge had to issue a license to allow the marriages to go ahead.
On one occasion the groom for the day couldn't make it and Mr Success, the organiser, was in a pickle as he didn't want to cancel the whole thing.
So he said "feck it anyway" (or the Nigerian equivalent) and went in himself as the groom.
Yes, this large African man impersonated a Chinese person in court and got away with it!
The BBC documentary didn't mention which judge was in attendance when this happened much to his relief I'm sure ...

I'm sure there are people faking birth certs as well but arranging multiple baptism would seem to be a pretty stupid way to go about it ...

urban legends such as this are interesting because they reveal society's fears and prejudices. The fact that this story has been around the block in several situations before and is not properly sourced in indicates that it is false.

I know heaps of people that got baptized twice because they have now accepted the Roman Catholic baptism ritual as null and void.

How could our Lord possibly condem someone because they have not reached the age of reason and can't make their own mind on their faith .

A spoon full of water split over a babies head will only make the child's head wet.

Infant baptism is of the devil. It is not a Scriptural doctrine and of pagan origin. There is not one example in the Bible of one single baby being baptized.

It is also responsible for sending more people to hell than any other religious error.

Catholic Baptism is all about statistics and adding figures to membership of the Catholic Church.

more like because its the only wash that baby is gonna get for the next while

Going a bit offtopic here.
Our local town has a history club, it's fantastic. Well if you're into local history that is.

The local hospital was extending the carpark and discovered (well it was forgotten about over the last few decades) a burial ground that was used for children that were not baptized.
So children who would have died shortly after birth and they could not be buried on consecrated ground. Now I know the hospital has a chaplain and anyone can do a baptism in needs be but it didn't always happen

We visited it, it was all overgrown but you'd get a shiver just being there.

For the sake of a baptism ceremony, children had to be buried alone and away from the family plot.
That's pretty damn heartless from the church but the church sure likes to enforce their rules! Or did at least

Yeah, but now you just completely falsified your claim as the article says they do not accept baptismal certs as identification for claims.

they dont accept them in the South, the story I heard was that it was for claiming in the North
