I love the Cinellis too. The Estrada in black is very nice.

Williers are very very common, tonto has one as well as someone else.

    Dreadfully common bicycles.

To be honest a winter trainer is not the place to be posing, it is the place to get the best bang for your buck on something maximally functional.

Having said that the Mortirolo looks like a good deal if that fitted and you just can't bring yourself to Planet X.

Have you considered something in titanium?

Also, 3 road bikes is just too much, I would not do it to be honest. There are so many other types of bike out there.

Indeed there is... red road bikes, blue road bikes, jelly belly road bikes...

3 road bikes is not too much if you live in 2 different places.

I would like a red bike. Red is a good colour for a bike. The first bike that I recall was my red bmx with yellow wheels.
Also I love jelly bellies and would definitely consider one (even though its a focus).
I think we should have jelly belly's as opposed to natural confectionery jellies as the official jelly on Boards spins.

Er, I was in the Jelly Belly factory in WI a few months back and I think I've a few bags of mixed Jelly Bellys left....if I do they are all yours :)

I'll be keeping the sports ones though..

In case anyone has missed it, the UK postal strike is suspended until after Xmas. So now you have no excuse - take advantage of the 15% VAT rate while it's still there:)

Got this from PBK. 50 odd
It seems very similar to castelli, especially the chamois ?.

    Just ordered one of these:

    AdamoSaddle2-782514.jpg

Possibly the ugliest saddle ever invented, but Joe Friel has one (his road saddle is a Toupe, like mine) so it must be good. :pac:

The interesting thing about the design is that the rear section is basically just there to meet UCI regulations on minimum saddle length - you don't sit on it. Your sit bones go on the rails and your tackle just hangs off the front, apparently. :pac:

The saddle is UCI legal. :)

edit: the saddle should allow me a comfortable forward position whilst staying within the rules. The downsides are increased arm loading, weight, and less stability on hilly courses. It's basically an alternative to HTFU.

Yeah, well I don't like it, so it shouldn't be.

Don't stop. You needed all that stuff. If anything, you probably need more.

I think you could be right the only problem is my better half who makes shopping look like and Olympic sport. I even put her to shame with the amount of spending i do on weekly basis.

The important thing to remember here is that it is a competition, and you must beat her at all costs.

The posthombre just arrived with more goodness from the land of CRC. Is it wrong that I like even the bikeshop smell that comes with it?

Need advice. Seriously considering a bike that is on sale for agreat price. Kitted out in SRAM Red. While I am so tempted, I dont want to feel like a complete feckin idiot. I can barely climb out of bed never mind up a hill.

Am I deluding myself. Should I bother. I dont even race FFS, and I probably wouldn be able to notice the difference.

Buy the bike with Red, or buy something more appropriate for my ahem, skillset.

Yes. But I will sell one.

I believe this is the 'I should have left the credit card at home' thread, not the 'should i bring the credit card with me' thread...

Now I'm no mod but to me thats a breach of thread rules which carries the PoP (penalty of Purchase in layman's terms), this means that you must now, without furthur posting, buy the bike and post up about your purchase in a 'look at what I just bought' kinda way.....

That kind of thinking is dangerous. Luckily there are numerous "calculators" online to help make the purchase easier. New bike is lighter, well then hell you'll be X time faster up those hills. More aero, even better. Looks nicers, that'll mean you'll go out more. And then there is just the placebo effect of having a new bike that'll make you faster!
