I havent seen the car yet, I leave it at my parents house as I rarely need it also havent gotten a resident permit for the street and really couldnt be bothered as I usually only need it twice a fortnight, my b/f went out to look at it though said its not too bad, but the part that needs to be replaced is cracked so knocking it back into place isnt going to be an option. His friends a panel beater, had a look and said a new one is definatley needed, hes also doing the car he hit on the cheap as he went into the door of it.

I have the money to get my car fixed but if I pay it Ill never see a penny of it back, and I refuse to pay for his mistake, he needs to step up to the plate for this one and take responsibility for what hes done, hes gotten away with far too much for far too long.

You're joking me. He is not willing to pay for it? - I would most definetely not pay for damages on my car caused by someone else!

He jokingly said sure Ill get it fixed when you drop the money out to me. My b/f had a discussion with him, because if I see him I will go for him, hes so meh about the situation, I understand hes broke, hes been pissing away his dole money and he just got a job a week or so ago so funds are pretty low and hes going to have to pay for the damage to the other car as well. Hes avoiding going through the insurance as his insurance is pretty high from other crashes hes had.

I said before he was not to be driving my car as hes been smoking in it, now Im a smoker too, but never once did I smoke in my car, it was brand new when I got and didnt want to ruin it with fag ash/burns and smells but of course that rule doesnt apply to him. Livid with my parents as well for giving him the key to it, I left the car at home for my mother as well as she needed it to get to work, but on the condition that he didnt drive it. I mean theres 2 other cars for him to choose from but he had to take mine!

I'm honestly still amazed at what happend. I knew it would be bad but not to the extreme I've seen. I've never seen the Western Road so badly flooded ever. The UCC are going to lose a lot in replacing equipment + they're closed for all of next week. I know someone going to UCC and he's saying it could be 3 months before he can go back into the area his class were in. 3 MONTHS!!:eek: He's also saying that the hard-drive could all be wiped losing vital info as he did a test yesterday.

Whats more, morre flooding is expected

Yeah it still feels strange, the whole thing.

The hard drives should be recoverable if they really important. But do ye not have network storage?

Nothing very dramatic for me just the annoyance that the electric shower & the washing machine wont work because of the water pressure. :(

I'd love a shower... Damn water supply!

Its turning into a dreadful night here in Kerry. Lighting and extremly heavy rain.

Was up in Cork today bringing down the friends flooded car with him from western road. The one that was in every news paper and RTE news ha

One day without a shower, cant hold out much longer! Thank god my parents are unaffected by the water shortage so think a trip out to them is due tomorrow!
