When is the last time you actually had a fight? A physical fight where you squared up against another person and laid down the law to the best of your ability.

Be it self defense in a mugging, or just fighting your friends in a pointless drunken brawl?

I havent had a fist fight in 22 years, since I was ten years old when I grabbed the other guys and pushed his head through some railings, where he got stuck

Are we a violent race of people, or do we rather flight than fight?

Personally I'd rather avoid this type of thing, but how often do you find yourself unable or unwilling to go without expressing your anger in a punch-in-the-face kind of way?

The use of the word "fisticuffs" must mean that your last fight was about 200 years ago, and not the 22 specified.:p

I look forward to reading this thread when some people say how they were in loads of fights, but that it was always instigated by other people, every last one.

    Bout 2 years ago.

Same here, was jumped around two years ago.

Hate fighting but when you get a box to the back of the head followed by futher thumps you have to defend yourself.

    Destroyed the guy.

I got into a drunken fight with a stranger outside a nightclub two weeks ago. Came away with two black eyes and a bloody nose. Completly deserved them too

8 years ago out side the Black Horse in Inchicore.

It was a 2v2 Tag team match. I think we where the Bush Whackers and they where The Legion of Doom.

Only ever had 1 in my life. My brother in law kicking out at my wife. Well, that couldn't go on without a bit of input

just over a year ago, day after last halloween
Some skanger decided to start smashing up the stairwell where I live, physical intervention was required to resolve the situation. :)

Oddly enough he looked like someone had punched the head offa him already.. his skangery face covered in bruises.

I had a fight with a girl in my class when i was 9..she really pushed my buttons and I think may have called me a 'Jehovah Witness' because I used to get out of mass because I wasn't Catholic (or a JW) so I knocked her over a table. She roared claiming I had broken her back, but I got off scot free cos she was a mopey whinger anyway and the teacher didn't like her.

Not fisticuffs as such but one drunk eegit 'lay a hand' on me one night recently in a pub after one of my friends spilt his drink by accident, I was sober and to make things pleasant offered to pay for his drink (as he has started to shout expletives at my friend who was very apologetic) but when he listed about three drinks including a double vodka and red bull I told him to take a hike, I'd only buy the one that was knocked and the cheeky fecker tried to push me into some sort of fight?? Quick glance to the barman who signaled security. Such a knob. Felt sorry for his girlfriend who stood there looking mortified and intimidated.

Never been in a physical fight and hopefully that will remain the case.

Besides, only boys call fisticuffs. Real men call duels; pistols at dawn is the proper way to win honour.

I've only ever been in one fight when I was 8, and it ended with me and a bloody nose. I got my revenge the next day though:mad:

Last proper fight was probably about 10 years ago when I was in school. We were all crammed into the locker area, climbin all over each other tryin to get our books out at the end of the school day. One lad I never particularly liked pretty much bulldozed me out of the way to get to his locker. Im not usually agressive but somethin just snapped and next thing we were on the ground knockin ten bells out of each other! :D

It was all forgotten about soon after though. Never resort to physical violence kids!

About four months ago in a disco, I was sober.
I was going out to the smoking area with a few of the boys and I was at the back of the group walking out and I got blocked off by a group of girls(that thought they were God's gift to the world:mad:) and this scumbag pushed me and I went to walk off because I was in a pissy mood, he pulled me back and hit me a slap in the jaw, I floored him with two boxes, a left to the ribs and a right hook to the jaw.

A recent survey has shown that posters are 68% more brave when posting about incidents on boards than they are in real life.

The last time i was in a proper fight was when i was about 9 or 10 with a boy who lived around the corner from me. He was mean :(

Last new years i slapped one of my friends in the face because he smashed a vase over another friends head at a party. All very drunk and disorganised. We can laugh now......ish

I hate fighting though. Even shouting at someone gives me the shakes

There were skelps thrown in the schoolyard when I was 17. I didn't win but I landed a beauty of a haymaker on the chaps jaw. I got a black eye myself and he got a very swollen jaw and a broken thumb. Like gents, we shook hands soon afterwards.
