Just want to hear your view on this... are they the norm?! When you were in college like (I dont mean breaking your marriage up over them ha)... Myself and my girlfriend talked about this last week, many of my friends have had them but she was disgusted when i said it to her.. claimed her friends hadnt.

I get the moral thing but she isnt conservative, just doesnt like the idea. We've been in a long term releationship for years so I never have ... just want to hear your thoughts: Are they the norm for people in their late teens/early twenties?! and also do you think they are shameful or just innocent fun?!!

The sex is, more often that not, cr@p on a stick.

Ninety-nine times out of a hundred it's a drunken fumble, and alcohol rarely enhances a sexual encouter. Even withut alcohol it's very unusual to find someone with whom you find yourself instantly comptible.

I think they are the norm. Had a few, not many, all friends and all while in college. Can't say they ever did anything for me and know many friends who found them quite damaging as they did not know the guy and felt used. Can't say I felt that way but always saw them as sex, not love.

I've had them and most of my friends (both male and female) have too. But some of my friends haven't.

Obviously though if you have them and don't use protection you're an incompetent moron. I don't care how drunk I've been I've never failed to remember to stick a condom on.

What pisses women off is drunken fumbling and half hearted attempts to wood up and ,well ,messy stuff.

Most of the women I know appreciate a good thick stump, well wooded up fairly clean,and used properly.

Brilliant. Since i'm a raging sexist and misogynist they allow me to spend the bare minimum amount of time with women. A few hours in the club, a few seconds in the sack. Perfect amount of yin and yang. It leaves me totally zen.

i suppose they would be the "norm" for some people and never in thought for others,ive never experienced one so i cant say too much on the subject really, suppose id be somewhat open to one if the chance came, depending on current circumstances in my life eg.(wanting to wait for relationship,if theres was to be one to progress and make the first time with that person a bit more special)

am in college now and the older ya get the less it seems to be a big deal or so peoples attitudes seem to suggest. If you gonna hook up with someone for one night i don't know if it's better that it's a randomer or friend!

Would say they are pretty much the norm. As some have said your gf's m8's are quite possibly not telling the full truth and no I'm not tarring all girls with the same brush but its they're not all angels either. No harm in it in my opinion. Have I? Yes but not often. mostly I've had long term relationships. Its really meaningless sex. My mate on the other hand has never had a long term relationship and has one night stands regularly. he's 0 interest in anything more which I find kinda totally crazy. I guess everyones different but I certainly wouldnt like to be like that.

I've had a few , some with randomers, some with people i know of - but don't really know. If it makes any sense some of my one nighters turn into 2/3 nighters but that's it then. I suffer from low self esteem and these one night stands always lift me at the time but then .... harsh reality!
