    Phew! What a disaster!
Fanclub presale was supposed to have no password, yet on ticketmaster website, it kept requesting one. Nobody at the official fansite had a clue how to explain it, Ticketmaster kept telling me it had nothing to do with them and to contact the fanclub.
Finally some genius figured out the code, thank God, & I now have two standing tickets for McCartney. WHOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Ah Thank you so much! I just got my seated ticket. Thanks to everyone who put up the info over the last few days. I'm so delighted. It's on my birthday so this is the best present ever - to me! I saw Macca in the RDS way back in 2003 and he was brill, played nearly 3 hours solo. A lot of Beatles songs. I hope he plays some Wings stuff, as that was when I started to get into his music. My favourite is "My Love". OK time to dig out the old CDs. Roll on the 20th, I can't wait!

This is going to be my gig of the year. I went in 2003 and it was an amazing show with an incredible setlist.
To see him in the O2 is going to be something special. If it turns out to be as people have said just the one night in Dublin and one night in London these tickets are going to be like gold dust.

Started to panic at 9 when I saw the pass code thing. Hung around the fan forum though so great success. Two Standing and my friend got one to. Let the good times roll.

Looks like all the standing tickets are gone in the presale, only available are the 160 quid ones

Promised two of my mates a pair for their wedding present on saturday, nearly cried when I missed out yesterday!! But thanks to your brilliant work managed to get two standing today! Phew!!! But then when I went back to get a couple for myself the standing ones were gone :(

Fingers crossed I'll be able to get a couple tomorrow.

Thanks again for the great work folks!

These things rarely go smoothly, do they?

The fan club forums came good in the end with the password, cheers to Buddly for getting that one.

Congrats to everyone who got their tickets, I can't wait for this gig, Paul McCartney might never tour again,Bring it on !

Believe me I'm happy to get my ticket and everything but anyone else think the prices are ridiculous? I don't wanna sound complaining but c'mon. Times are meant to be hard are they not.

totally agree, but as long as people pay them.....At the end of the day, Macca charges a rate, divide that rate up by the number of seats, add insurance, accom, transportation etc, then a bit of profit ;) - and you get what we get.

Thanks to SkidMark for introducing the fansite, the fanclub presale has made all our days I think! And fair play to whoever it was on the Macca forums that came up with the password, they should be cracking codes for MI6.

Got my 2 tickets, can't wait now!

Clearly you haven't been following this closely, or you don't realise the difference a few minutes makes in the rush for tickets, otherwise you wouldn't be belittling the effort some people here (skidmark, Buddly) put in for the benefit of many of us!

The password was first released in the forums, I'd imagine by the time the info you posted there was put up on the official site the standing tickets (ie, the cheapest and best imo) were all sold out!

Yes. The o2 priority and fan club presales would of just gotten a certain percentage of tickets. They would need to hold some back fro General sale. You might want to get a few people working on it though. They won't exactly be hanging around for long.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,952 ✭✭✭dixiefly

    Thanks for that.
I actually had two tickets held this morning but waited for my mate to get back to see if he was interested. Heard nothing back - should have gone with orig idea of getting one.

I'm not belittling anyones effort. That info was on the official site yesterday, I bought my tickets at 10am this morning and had my pick of the catagories I have two standing tickets. I'm not trying to say the lad wasn't helpful, but for future reference, these things are not hard to find.
