Well there is talk of banning users who continually illegally download will face prosecution and be banned from the net...

Not sure if its just scare tactics from big movers in the music/movie industry...

Impractical. Among the people who download illegally would be some of the quickest people to figure out a way around any such 'ban', so it'd be useless.

No, they should understand the risks of copyright infringement though.
How can you 'ban' someone from the internet?

I personally believe that it is unacceptable to download illegally from the Net. I see it as stealing (all be it from multi millonaires) and therefore anyone who engages in it is breaking the law.

Although I agree it is extremely difficult to prosecute or 'ban' users from the net!

Well if that's the case then anyone who's ever caught stealing should never be allowed into a shop. Won't happen. Can't happen.

And anyone who ever taped a song from the radio should be banned from ever owning a radio again and thrown in jail too for copyright infringement.

Limewire is like a Thai hooker, it does the job but there's a good chance you'll catch something and you may not get what you think you are.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test
