Ya was looking forward to this game, not now after reading all the reviews here. Preordered it on thehut for 37 delivered, I am not too bothered when this arrives now, it could be a quick trade in, if its as bad as stated already.

Its meh so far.Graphics wise they were so lazy with some parts. The sky as seen in images posted a few pages back show how terrible it is.Gameplay seems pritty good though.I think it was just overhyped

Hey wheres my thread at?..... Anyway not important. Is this game really that bad? I take it no one has played it on console yet,I have to work all day before i can get home and start playing so i will be checking back here regularly for updates, my fingers are still crossed for a great game, I'm not expecting gameplay like any traditional shooters, slow, methodical, calculated all out war...:pac:
It might be a bit different for console users since there's nothing like it available but on PC this game is in direct competition with ARMA2 which looks like a better game all round.

Picked it up today in HMV for 45. hope im not dissapointed. If so, its still early days to trade in against MW2.

Stay away from gamestop, robbin bastards. 55e.

So how is this on a console with a controller? Its a tough game with keyboard and mouse, I can imagine how ridiculously hard it is gonna b with a controller.

I find the controls quite easy.I would that the opposite and it be harder on the pc

Dunno, but whats happeing me is that i find them very clunky, I sometimes hit q and open the menu by mistake which means i cant move, either that or i issue a command and forget to close the menu. Controls are very bad, no thought to them at all on pc.

I've only ever played GTA4 using the xbox controller on the pc, had to get one for the driving. Will try out the xbox controller with OF2 for the laugh. I'm assuming it easily switches between the two like with GTA4.

Course it will, but guess what, it doesn't support a flight stick at all. Now thats just crazy for a game that calls itself the sequel to Operation Flashpoint

Cover the the clump of trees to the right of the road with 2 claymores, same for your left flank. Use your team to cover your immediate front with the fixed gun as well as your left flank and then you cover the right side of the road. If you hit enemies early enough, you can keep the AAVP going and that makes things a lot easier.

I was cracking up playing that level, the right side is the one that's trouble.

Dear God what have they done !! This Game is terrible.
I'm really trying to like it but the whole thing is a mess. I'm playing on the xbox and it's got such a Low resolution your weapon takes up half the screen.
Graphics and lighting are terrible. I went into a room and it was complete darkness ..nothing..even the nightsight on the weapon showed any more detail.

On the first 2 missions my AI team mates kept running through my line of fire and killing themselves.
Also when you kill an enemy , don't turn your back on him as his body will be gone along with any weapons and ammo you might have needed in a later firefight.
I'm actually so gutted with this game I've going right back tomorrow.

Ye finally got it by putting the team mates on the Mounted Guns...

I think that's a big cop out tbh, especially in COD, sure the game is short and unfulfilled but at least the 10 or so maps are fun. Although that's the way games are going I suppose, gone are the days... old man mumbling...

I think this game will kick ass in co-op too. Haven't encountered any major bugs yet except for the fact that I can't find any MP servers. Anyone else having this problem? I'm on Xbox.

Just got this for the PS3, and first impressions are, very nice.
Playing it on the default assisted level and it's still hard as nails.
Certainly the skills you pick up in COD4 are utterly useless here, perhaps the sneaky beaky skills from MGS are more appropriate!

Visuals are pretty good, the size of the territory is staggering.
The enemy are at least as smart as you are though and will flank and kill you where you cower unless you get your ass in gear and start to think as well as shoot.

Calling in my first strike from an offshore vessel was a special treat, with you deciding target and spread, pounding an area into dust, nice.
But then myself getting picked off by enemy survivors as I over zealously ran down to do some mopping up, oops!

I reckon I'll be playing this one long after Modern Warfare 2 has gone the way of, well, COD2.

Just going back now to the tutorial mission to get it right properly, that SAM site will be mine!
