This is sooooo true it's actually not funny but then kinda is.

I don't envy you bro and actually feel sorry for you but remember this
You always have a choice and you made yours.
Your type of work usually carries a risk of being pushed around I mean every single citizen has a right to privacy whether they are good or bad people.
So yes you will be harassed, attacked, spat at because this is a type of work you do and you know the risks....

    IMHO

I assume that was for me and I agree .... I studied analytical chemistry in college have a degree in analytical techniques and work as a photographer.... there isnt a whole lot of jobs available with decent money these days.

Ps. I'll be on the pitch tomorrow for the game (Ireland v Italy) :P

    Not really his point.
I think the point he's making is he has cojones and isn't just a keyboard warrior.

I know what his point is, but thanks for pointing out the obvious.

I'm not disputin the chap was harrassed or threatened, what I am disputin is considerin flashin a camera in someones face as going to "toe to toe" with them...

No problem, any time you need that done I'll be here..

Well it didn't seem like that from your post I quoted.
Just seemed like you were mocking him for no apparent reason (the stupid violin comment) :D

Ignore them, i would not do your job and neither would a lot of folk, i say fair play to you for even being near to those people. They are parasites to our community.

no offence intended to the OP but ..... people need to stand up to scumbags and not let them win.

every day people become victims of fear....they are intimidated by the lower levels of society....who agressively take what they want without consequence.

if I was to get to the root of it - society in this country is rife with crime and criminals (from the beggers and pickpockets on the streets to the politicians and judges...and all the junkies in between) ..... the legal system does nothing to reform criminals and doesnt deter them from re-offending.

its possible that the hooded person at the back of the bus was having a bad day - just because they had a strong inner city dublin accent doesnt mean they are a junkie.

OP - just out of interest ... how do you know what a junkie talks like ? have you talked to some in the past?

if you had read my post it says something along the lines of that the video clip isnt the best example of going "toe to toe" with someone.

You not refering to the bankers or their friends from certain political party are you?:D

On serious note as long as I remember crime and criminals existed not only
in this country.I often wonder how they deal with those legal issues in other countries? Is there any magical cure to fix it?I'll be honest to say that I dont know the answer but I'll say this.I'd be more worried about putting the food
on table for my family than a few scumbags throwing a tantrums in public
Because at the end of the day they are small fish compared to the You Know Who.
    IMHO

certainly NOT a reference to the bankers&co.... they weren't exactly aggressive about it - yes they took what they wanted .... and what you wanted and what I wanted....feckers !!

Saudi Arabia has below 1% crime rate (from what I've heard....could just be an urban myth) .... then again.... they are supposed to be fairly strict:
ie. steal with right hand (and get caught) ...right hand chopped off, steal with left hand.... left hand chopped off etc etc ... you get the idea)

Personally I think the best way to make criminals stop re-offending is to make prison a hard thing to endure, physically and mentally, ensure no mobile phone signal inside, no TV Signal apart from CCTV,no drink, no cigarettes, no drugs - with the exception of prescribed and necessary drugs..... make the prisoners work to gain experience .... and on release ...they can contribute to society instead of ruining it.

Jail would be for repeat offenders and community service would be for first time offenders(of course first time serious offences would require jail)

What if you stole something with your right hand, had it chopped off, but replaced by a hook... then stole something with the hook?

They replace the hook with an egg whisk then. Try stealing something with an egg whisk mate. It's bleedin' hard I'll tell you.

I'd nearly feel sorry for the kids, although if I was on that bus would be grateful they were told to shut up, of course, don't agree with the way it was achieved in this instanse though :D

If it's scumbags you want, try getting the 78a sometime.

If you don't know how to use an indoor voice you should shut the fcuk up on buses, I hate schoolkids shouting all over the bus. I wish I had the cojones to tell them to be quiet!

In fairness to yer man, it never fails to amaze me why Irish parents send their kids to same sex schools. Just how frosty-faced and boring are these auld pairs?

The idea of girls turning into princesses with big wedding dreams - c. €20,000 -€30,000 - can be welcome only to the most airey fairy of Irish daddies or potential husbands.

Girls should be sent to mixed schools asap where they will understand lads as something other than money-machine saviours of their retail-obsessed existence.

    Spirituality! There's a word.

You always get the one scumbag sitting down the back of the bus, A few times now I had guys coming up threating me and my mates for our phones and stuff but today this just pissed me off that bit more, unfortunate the way we have to put up with scum like this.Anyhow just had to get that off my chest.

You don't have to put up with it if you're willing to do something about it. The reason he was shouting **** is because he knows the majority of the time is he gets away with it because no one will intervene. Most of these scumbags are nothing more than bullies, show them some resistance and they'll do little.

They'd be locked up very quickly if the stereotype that they'll hit anyone who said something negative to them was true.

Would you get a grip. You are not some hard man. Just from looking at the video you can tell you are absolutely bricking it when the guy confronted you about taking a pic. You deserve any hassle you get for taking pictures without permission. You are a paparazzi photographer for a reason - cos you werent good enough to be a normal photographer.
