Would rent it tbh could save yourself a few quid.

Assuming having a Dpad for the radial menu would actually work,assuming it turns off after you issue a command. On pc you have to press Q to turn it off by which time your dead.

You cant cover and use it as you need to see the target/area to send your men to their deaths. Which is annoying.

Going to to play it online with 3 others morrow night with comms and see if we have a new Ghost Recon 1 but i seriously doubt it.

Rent if you like buy it.

Not sure if this is posted already but Operation Flashpoint 2 for €35.93 (plus €1.15 postage) from The Hut. Pretty good seeing as Play have it for €51.99.

If you don't mind waiting thats pretty good. Its €55 atm in most shops.. that might come down by a tenner like other games!

Oh and the other thing that I've noticed (though I'm sure it won't be the last) is if you use your moouse wheel to switch weapons, you can't move until you've actually selected the weapon. It's like they didn't test the game at all, otherwise they'd have realised how annoying and badly implemented these things are.

Should have called it OF: Boredom Rising, ****1ng hell this thing is a hill-walking simulator: Mission starts, "Bravo one proceed to checkpoint 1 and kill two or three Chinese soldiers", so you walk half a mile where nothing happens then you get there and your team wipes the enemy out before you have a chance to see one in your sights. "Bravo one we've had reports that 2 or 3 more Chinese soldiers have been sighted to the south", cue another walk across bland forested hills that don't look as good as Oblivion and repeat. The driving is horrible, the graphics are completely average, the menus are clunky and unintuitive, the combat I suppose is realistic but that doesn't make it good, plus the enemy can see you through the bush when you cant see him like in Conflict: Vietnam. 4 missions in and I dont want to play anymore, Id prefer the first one with a few mods.

Hey wheres my thread at?..... Anyway not important. Is this game really that bad? I take it no one has played it on console yet,I have to work all day before i can get home and start playing so i will be checking back here regularly for updates, my fingers are still crossed for a great game, I'm not expecting gameplay like any traditional shooters, slow, methodical,calculated all out war...:pac:

I think the best suggestion so far is to rent it if you can. As I said before, it's not a bad game, it's just not particularly great. If you bought it, you should be able to get some enjoyment from it. I haven't tried MP yet, so that might knock it up a notch or two.

What's annoying about it is that unlike Arma 1 and 2 where all the problems were bugs, the problems in this a designed that way. Unless they release a huge patch reworking how the game is played, then I can't see me playing this in the long term.

I picked it up on the XBOX this morning in HMV for 44.99.
The Exclusive mission Code is Nipper (for the mission Ambush).
I'll only get a chance to try it out when I go home but at least with the XBOX version I can trade it in if it's pants

I think i'm going to rent this first, then maybe purchase for cheap from one of the sites.

How does xtravision work for new release rentals? Should I ring and book ahead, or would I be safe enough in dropping in and picking it up for a week?

Im still getting this i just dont know when im away for the weekend & i have uncharted 2 arriving on monday morning. Ill pick it up soon though, definitely on console i cant face yet another PC that doesnt work and you are left with a useless game that you cant even trade in. Pity the multiplayer is only 4v4 on console but its mainly for the co-op missions that i want it anyway.
