What next - taking the p*ss out of cripples?

    Seriously.

This is playground mentality taken to a new level.

Can we laugh at people in wheelchairs now?

I was in a wheelchair for a couple of years due to a serious leg injury, and to be perfectly honest I find the use of the term "cripple" more offensive than anything else I have seen on this thread.

I think they may find themselves pretty short-changed soon enough.

If anyone wants to discuss the pros/cons/irony of setting up a village specifically for dwarfs to escape discrimination where they live in mushroom houses and dress as fairy tale characters, fire away.

I think we've had enough of the piss taking and puns though.

Irony being the operative word imo

As far as I know, "cripple" has never been used as a derisory term, though I stand to be corrected & am very sorry if I offended you in any way - that was not my intention.

I intended to point out that taking the p*ss out of dwarfs - who through no fault of their own - are small, due to a medical condition, is pathetic, childish & pointless, and only serves the self gratification of the slagger.

For me, there is humour to be found in everything, whether it be from the depths of despair to the heights of ecstacy, but poking fun without any sense of empathy is just too easy... again, schoolground mentality.

I heard about a similar town in Brazil a few years back. The albinos have their own town as well apparently.
