take it easy. Topics around again and again. When you've been here a while you'll notice that, it's more common in AH, PI and probably Humour too.

One rule to get from Boards that will help.
Attack the post, not the poster

Pizza Hut delivery. I absolutely love them and really good value. I never used them when they were godfathers as I didn't like it but now I use PHD and it is really well worth it :)

Domino's is quality. I only order from them these days. I don't know WTF some people here are on about. I wouldn't give Four Star/Mizzoni/Apache/etc. a second look.
    Very true.

I find Dominos hit and miss depending on the store. Ashbourne is great but Drogheda is awful.

I know Pizza Express/Milanos isn't takeaway, but it's upmarket muck. You need an angle-grinder to cut through their bases and their dough is flown in frozen from the UK twice a week.

I has a Mizzonis once and it wasn't great.

I'd certainly be very leery of frozen pizzas after seeing that recent spot on the One show about how most frozen pizza manufacturers use 'analogue cheese' to give products a longer fridge-life, basically it's not real cheese, but a concoction of animal fat and chemicals.

Little Naples in Duleek is the ultimate, but that's our little secret, right?

+1.....I come from Swords for that!!! I lived in Sligo for 3 months a few years ago and there there is one there too and it was beautiful, when they told me they had one on Dublin i was chuffed!! LOVE IT!!! Best i ever had!

Not a big fan of Dominos.

Mizzionis is good but their delivery times are shocking. Inchicore branch often takes up to 50 minutes.

So I'd vote Apache, quality pizza, you can order online and they're fast to deliver!

Actually this guy is right I forgot about that pizza - the one owned by the fun loving criminals guy is gone, that was in the Voodoo, but there is another one in Eamonn Dorans in temple bar, its called Difontaines, thats definately the best one! :pac:

    +100,

Once you've had a Bistro pizza there's no going back! In fact I think I'll get a La Forza tonight, yum! They've really good special offers on at the moment too, in the Sligo one anyways.

Dominos I can honestly say that i've never had a bad one. From Dominos in Dundalk to St. Kilda... all quality.

I like Mizzoni's but agree that they can sometimes take longer to get to you.

Godfather's was really nice too, pity it's gone.

Not mad on Dominoes, there's too much sauce or something. I'd eat it, but there's something I don't like.

Apache is grand. Can't think of anything I particularly like/dislike about them.

Dominoes for the thickest crust and most cheese and toppings, yummy!

little ceasars for the most you can get for minimum cash, and for their crazy bread n sauce! :D

Difontaines is by far the best - as long as its fresh. The reheated slices can be muck. There is something about the sauce thy use:D

Mizzoni's is the worst! Hate their pizza. My favourite is Four Star or Dominos (bbq base with chicken and pepperoni and garlic sauce for dippin!)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,179 ✭✭✭✭Max Power1

cant beat Dominos IMO, the Full House is positively orgasmic! (im missing it now cos i'm doing weight watchers :o)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,971 ✭✭✭Cake Man

I'd take any really, they're all good but Apache (esp garlic breads) and Dominos hands down for me. Hate when they put too much cheese on it tho but fcuk it, I'd tear into it anyway. Gonna ring one now can't wait ;)

Four Star Pizza's American (iirc), the Pepperoni one anyway.

Although, best sauce is defo the garlic one that you get with a Mizzoni's Wagon Wheel.
