Dominos is crap had it last night tasted like dirt on my tongue stingy bastards with the garlic dip.

Four Star is alright used to get it back in the day meat always seem real crusty on it though and the cheese is a bit odd.

Mizzonis is the best!!!! processed to the max who cares though im in there for the garlic dip and pepperoni and chicken 12 inch and chicken dippers and 2 cans of coke.............magical!!!!!

anyone care to give a review or 2?

Apache are the best value and taste pretty good.

Four Star have overtaken Dominos in all but Garlic Pizza Bread and they have decent deals too.

Mizzonis are very hit and miss.

Papa Johns is okay as is Pizza HQ.

Goodfellas have a good one with tomato inside the crust. Apparently it's better than domino's and Pizza Hut.

In cork city though, it has to be Lennox's. Mmmmmm :D

4 star, meat deluxe (contains pepperoni, salami, bacon pieces and chicken strips.)
Add meatballs, Extra sauce and Garlic. Get cheese loaded crust.

Absolutely the nicest pizza I've ever tasted! YUM. :-)

(The Carne Amore pizza from Bistro is fairly nice too.)

New York Pizza in Galway, it's yummy. Papa Johns is pretty good, but I can't stand Dominos or 4 Star or any of them. I'd rather just have a frozen pizza tbh

I just ordered Dominos because Four Star in Tallaght don't have online ordering yet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,418 ✭✭✭curry-muff

Chicago Town frozen pizzas are nicer than dominos etc, they even had a promotion for a month or so saying if you dont think their pizza is nicer than dominos they would completely refund you, i agreed they were nicer but a lot of people milked it sending 3 or 4 boxes back at a time and they ended the promotion

Domino's, if only for the chicken dippers and BBQ dip. Never had Four Star Pizza though, the name kind of puts me off. 'We're good, but not great'...

Domino's is quality. I only order from them these days. I don't know WTF some people here are on about. I wouldn't give Four Star/Mizzoni/Apache/etc. a second look. Papa Johns looks OK, never had it though.

take it easy. Topics around again and again. When you've been here a while you'll notice that, it's more common in AH, PI and probably Humour too.

One rule to get from Boards that will help.

Pizza Hut delivery. I absolutely love them and really good value. I never used them when they were godfathers as I didn't like it but now I use PHD and it is really well worth it :)

    Very true.

I find Dominos hit and miss depending on the store. Ashbourne is great but Drogheda is awful.

I know Pizza Express/Milanos isn't takeaway, but it's upmarket muck. You need an angle-grinder to cut through their bases and their dough is flown in frozen from the UK twice a week.

I has a Mizzonis once and it wasn't great.

I'd certainly be very leery of frozen pizzas after seeing that recent spot on the One show about how most frozen pizza manufacturers use 'analogue cheese' to give products a longer fridge-life, basically it's not real cheese, but a concoction of animal fat and chemicals.

Little Naples in Duleek is the ultimate, but that's our little secret, right?

+1.....I come from Swords for that!!! I lived in Sligo for 3 months a few years ago and there there is one there too and it was beautiful, when they told me they had one on Dublin i was chuffed!! LOVE IT!!! Best i ever had!

Not a big fan of Dominos.

Mizzionis is good but their delivery times are shocking. Inchicore branch often takes up to 50 minutes.

So I'd vote Apache, quality pizza, you can order online and they're fast to deliver!

    +100,

Once you've had a Bistro pizza there's no going back! In fact I think I'll get a La Forza tonight, yum! They've really good special offers on at the moment too, in the Sligo one anyways.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 716 ✭✭✭DamoDLK

Dominos I can honestly say that i've never had a bad one. From Dominos in Dundalk to St. Kilda... all quality.
