Drinks (1/3rd of a 700ml bottle of tesco vodka)- €5
Club (if i'm going to one) €10.
    Nitelink- €5.

Even if i had a job i can't imagine spending much more than this.

I bought 6 cans on Saturday and had some vodka left from last week. So that was 7 euro at that stage. Only ended up leaving the house at 12:15 and got a lift into McGowans in Phibsboro. 7 euro entrance fee and then to my utter dismay, 5.60 for a pint. I ended up being out for 2 hours in the place and it cost me around 55 euro for the night including a taxi home split with 3 others. Who do they think they are charging that much for a pint? Pure rip off.

Oh, jealous, I have to spend a shocking €2.20 on my bus journey, I don't even live that far from town!

Usually i'd walk into town (not Dublin!), 4/5 pints of guinness or whatevers cheap, and split a taxi home, under €40 anyway. Much prefer having a few cans with mates at home, much cheaper. 6 cans of druids for €8 then crash on their sofa and walk home in the morning, job done!

    €0

I haven't been out on the tear since early June. Most of my friends have emigrated or moved away to other parts of the country. The ones that are still here are usually broke.

It is just depressing trying to organise a night out now. I just buy a few cans from Tesco and sit at home watching TV counting down the days until I can leave this awful dump of a country for good.

normally spend 100 on a night on the town.

havent gone out lately. invite some friends over with a few cans and you can get away with 20 for the night with food and have a better time than a night in a pub/ngihtclub!

I dotn think i have ever spent more then €120 on night out. I have had some heavy ones but normally night out for me is about €80-90 and that includes taxi home which is about 7-8 quid.

Was in good old coppers on friday night first time been there on friday in ages my mates were out since 12 that day and they said they spent 220 quid roughly each.. thats crazy but not surprising

What's with all the taxis? Don't people use the Nitelink anymore? It's only 5 euro. People on here spend a ridiculous amount of money on a night out methinks.

I used to love the nitelink. There was always some great fun on it and it dropped me close to home.

Then I got stabbed one night.

    I use taxi's now..

    Night out in town.. 100-200
Session at a house 40-50 with smokes and morgans.

I'd spend about €40, never any more than €60 though.

I once spent about €100 on a very long night out in expensive places, never again, what a waste of money.

I know a few guys who spend €100 on an average Saturday night and up to €250 if it's a "special occasion", madness.

    Anything from $100 to $300 a night.

    Depends on where I'm drinking.

Anything from €50 to €200 depending on how nuts I go...
Before I used to spend about €300+ every Sat night but after a few months I calmed down :D
Now I barely ever drink and I might only go out about once every 2 months I'd say and maybe spend about €200..all depends if I go on shorts..if not..maybe about €100 at the very max.

Care to give a breakdown on what you spent €300 on?

    I'd say I'm around the €80 mark - I hate my laser card :(

    Bus out - 0
    Drink - 7 or 8 .5L bottles at about €3 each
    Kebab - €2.50
    Bus home - 0

(Night bus services are covered on the monthy trasnport ticket :D)

So about 25€. Went a bit overboard, I know...

To all those people who spent more than €100 on a night out, one question: Did you get your money's worth?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

if its a night in town its always around 120-150, an odd one has pushed 200 but that might include a meal.

a night in the local bout 50quid.

    About 12 bottles of Corona-- 12x€5 = €60
    Entrance to nightclub- €15
    Double Gin + Red Bull x 5 = €110
    Rounds of Sambuca's/shots = €60
    Taxi: €50

You can see why I basically gave up drinking :D
Such a waste...grand I had some great nights out and I wouldn't change them ever but there comes a time when you need to cop onto yourself :)

    Hmm

Pack of Cigs for the night = 8.50
Cans before pub/club= 10 [ round or about on average]
Admission=5/10 if going to club, 0 for pub
Drink=About 50 in pub, less in club due to 3 euro drinks most places in Dundalk these days
    Taxi home=25 quid

    You do the math Samuels

I'd get a taxi cause i'm never alone. Nearly always 4 of us heading to the same area. It's cheaper to split the taxi 4 ways than to spend a fiver each on the nitelink. Also the nitelink to where i live takes almost an hour and still leaves me with over a 10 minute walk. Maybe it's something similar with most people.

These days i'll never spend over 60 on a night out. I make it a point not to. Drinking in the house first is standard practice now.

22 beans for a double gin red bull :confused:

I spend nothing, I'm on the dole and really can't afford to do anything that requires money. So on a Saturday night I'm normally at home drinking water watching a film on the internet. (Sometimes I might splash out and get a tub of ben & jerry's or if I'm too lazy to cook a takeaway)

I spend about 7 for a six-for seven can dealy. Then maybe two euros spent on a pizza I bought earlier, or pasta sauce. Everything else I need is provided for me by the universe :P

Actually I spent exactly 10.10 (7 for drink, 3 10 for bus on sunday, which isn't saturday, but counts) last saturday, because I brought pasta sauce and beans to my friends house and told them if they brought me some pasta I'd make them a delicious pasta dish.

free entry nightclubs (loads of them in dublin) + sneaking a bottle of cheap vodka in + walking home (if ya live near town that is :pac:) = roughly €5 for the night out.

Half litre bottles at €3 is a bargain and a half. Wheres that?
Kebab for €2.50, did you have to make it yourself?

My usual town spend is about €70-80. When I was working/not a poor student, it would be double that. Not a conscious decision but I would drink harder when I had the money.

Thats a fine drinking performance. If that was me I'd probably have to replace that €50 taxi with an ambulance.

ah that was in my good old days :)
nowaday's about 7-8 bottles of Corona will do me fine...loads actually..
I also try and stay away from shots..it's the hangover the following day that I hate plus it screws up my training..
My weekends are too short now to be wasting them on a hangover :D

This saturday I spent exactly €28. €20 on a round of drinks and €8 for a pizza.

To be honest I think Aldi is the best place to be buying booze. The beer tastes way purer and less watery then the other stuff here. You can actually buy the stuff they sell in the pubs in munich. Normally I head to aldi and buy about 6 500ml beers at 79c each. That is €4.74. Buy a litre of smirnoff vodka in newry for €15.48. Pour some of this into a naggin when I'm going out making it last about four weeks. Cost of naggin for the night is Then a sneaky naggin for drinking in the club is €3.87. Head to the club before twelve to get in for free and walk home absolutely plastered at 3am closing time. Walk takes about 10 minutes. All in all we're talking €8.61 for the average Saturday night. Then again I am a stingy bastard and would do anything to cut this price further!
