Kids, keep it light. No need for posting pictures of festering necrotic wounds.

What?.......the thread is called "awesomness of arachnids".

This is what some of them can do, It may be a bit uncomfortable to look at but it is factual and informative. (dont stick ur hand in a banana crate)

The close ups, the crazy webs, the mating habits, the capabilities of spiders, all fall within the realms of the heading.

Apologies for any shock value that the pic had.

Pictures of a dog wearing a spiderman outfit has nothing to do with "awesomness of arachnids".....cute though.

Im not saying we need more pictures of spider bites, I reckon 1 is enough, more would be trolling and taking the piss. This one was meant for awareness, Ireland is full of dodgy spiders nowadays.

    Hi ben,

I understand your point but you posted the pics in tCN. It's less for being serious and more for bringing on "the silly"

It's quite fun really. Stick around.

    Now, if you don't mind

    2w2or3r.jpg

    later guys!

    hol, don't look

I swear I'm not making this up.

    Heard screams from bedroom

    Investigated

This is a true to scale image. The image below is the exact size of what's sitting beside me in a pint glass right now. I know he's harmless but gosh darn this thread if I didn't think he was a recluse for just a second or two!

    spider6902.jpg

He needs a good home and is very athletic. Any takers?

okay, forget the adoption bit. He's almost able to get out of the glass. He's bracing his legs at the bottom of the glass and standing up! I have to get him out of my house before my mother arrives for a cuppa. Fun as it would be, I just couldn't be that nasty.

    Well, I could...just not today:D;)

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators Posts: 47,866 Mod ✭✭✭✭cyberwolf77

    That's a scorpion(arachnid)with front loading stingers

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 44,501 ✭✭✭✭Deki

What do they do regenerate legs? That's really pretty horrible if you look at it for awhile.

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators Posts: 47,866 Mod ✭✭✭✭cyberwolf77

Instead of a tail they have dual stingers in the front.
