I actually said that to my mate that the movie itself was not fantastic it was the combination of seriousness and humour that was perfected and then like you said the attention to detail was phenomenal.

Tbh, even the ending deserves serious kudos -
I'm not aware of any other WWII movie that decided "F*ck what really happened, we're doing it my way".

    The Jew Hunter?

He was a great character alright! His over-the-topness made me cringe at times, but it was well put together.

Yeah the Jew Hunter! He was gas. Well when he told the waiter to get yer wan a glass of milk I didn't know whether to laugh or cry! lol.

A twas not a bad movie, I just don't plan on ever watching it again.

Cuckoo Savant in Tripod at midnight
    Baby Vagas on Sunday afternoon
    Jazz on Sunday night.

I think I have about 5 minutes to sleep before it all kicks off.

you think your burlesque and cabaret forum is going to get passed? Personally i think it's agreat idea. Have had some great nights out at such events, and the history of both genres as an art form is fascinating. a hell of a lot more to it than nipple tassles and Dita Von Teese.

    (nipple tassles ftw btw)

Burlesque is fantastically amazing! I for one hope it gets passed!

I can see a lot of issues for mods if the forum gets passed. First will be the pictures. () There may well be the occasional NSFW image posted. Secondly there will have to be a very carefully controled Events guide as promoters will try to run riot on advertising.
If I can manage to talk my way around those two sticky issues then I think the forum stands a good chance of going ahead. Fingers crossed. And thanks for the 'Bump' on the thread ;-)

all of which are overcomeable (is that a word) and imho should not be a reason for not creating the forum.

if you check out the House forum, we have a slightly NSFW thread with a few pictures of chicks in their skimpies. Now it's not a high traffic forum, and none of the stars of the show have done a full badger bearing playboy shoot, (for shame), so we pretty safe.

The B&C forum I'd imagine will be more high traffic, but you still should be ok. We don't allow such pics here because of the high traffic, it would become a nightmare to Mod and historically, our demographic i.e. men, are known for their naughty ways.

The events guide thread if managed properly, could be a real bonus for the promotors. If they realise that by playing ball with boards.ie, they can get more bums on seats, they'll toe the line. A simply policy of " you break the rules, your out" could help.

    and no problem sir

P.P.S. I probably wouldn't have seen it, as I'm not a QT fan.

One of my best mates is coming over to London in the morning. We're going to head to the markets, then do some apartment hunting, before going for a bite to eat and a few beers. Can't complain.

I also have to spend about £150 on a new leather portfolio. \o/

    And your good self?

Ara, bit of Drinkin, Shmokin', rollin' round, hopefully a woman(or two:p).

    And some studying:mad:

Love London though, went there for a week with a friend last year, what part are you based? </nosey>

In Ealing at the moment, it's West, Z3, depending on the apartment hunting, I could be heading to North... Or maybe East. Or maybe we'll get someplace here...

    It's a great city though.

    a) Please tell me they didn't stuff the cat.

    b) How old are you exactly? ~suspects the defiant deerskin is a sign of mid-life crisis. :pac:~

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,649 ✭✭✭✭CDfm

I hope not. But rumour has it the cat went the way of King Louis in an unfortunate gardening accident.

Why would anyone with deerskin trousers tell their age. ;)
