Check out the FAQ's at the top of the forum. It explains all in there.

    Pix.ie makes it dead easy!

    Got a free Pentax A3000 today with a 50mm lens :D

Can't wait to try it out, I've gotten dragged into relying too much on Lightroom with my DSLR.

Lucky you. I did a little film shooting recently with my Pentax Me Super and the 50mm 1.7. It's great fun. Hope to do lots more.

On the A3000 you have a lot more modes than me. Recommend you stick it into manual mode and do things the hard proper way :)

    Have fun with it.

can anyone give me the link to Alberts web site (new keaphoto one I think) I remember seeing a thread here a short while back but cant find what I'm looking for through the search.

Also, if there is a more popular site for gear now could I have the link too.

    Thanks in advance.

(Coming from the "I bailed out" thread, re education and points system...)
I dunno bout that, I find the points system pretty fair and logical... the points genereally reflect the amount of work in the course.if ya cant do the work to get it, you wont do the the work when ya got it

I think we may be on different wavelengths. Many people tend to learn better when they actually enjoy what they are doing. Obviously, I'm not referring to people who can't be bothered to do anything...

Just in passing, do many secondary schools offer courses in photography?

Very definitely off topic although there is a camera involved and some shooting. ;)
I filmed a piece with Cian Ward, the Meath Footballer, for the RTE programme The Road to Croker. I was showing him how to shoot (with a gun), not a ball or a camera! It's going out next Friday on RTE2 at 7.00pm.

If you're watching it, I'm the good looking one! :D:D

I have just tried to use the "thumbs up" button to say "thank you" to some posters for their photos and ideas, but it is not working.

Is there a problem at the moment with signing in?
