This is probably in the wrong forum (so feel free to move it Moderators) but I just wanted to ask the ladies here if any of you have tried it. I want to lose weight (mainly) and improve my fitness and I'm thinking of taking it up as I've found a class twice a week in my area. Just want to know if is any good?

It's really just cardio boxing, and of course with a proper diet will help you lose weight. I'd reccommend jogging alongside it to really lose weight, and cut carbs after 7pm. And if you have a swimming pool nearby, go swimming (breaststroke - no pun) to strengthen up your body.

my friend does it & says its quite tough, though that might depend on the class you go to.

Thanks. I plan on walking more (I walk from work around Stephens Green to Connolly Station every evening as it is) as I can't jog or run for long and also my yoga and bellydancing classes will be starting up again next month. Unfortunately I can't swim so any other suggestions for boosting upper strength (I've weak shoulders) are welcome!! :D

There's a class on a Friday in YMCA gym before the bellydance class I often go to after work in Dublin and I have to say the girls who come out look wrecked!! I thought it must be good so said I'd try a class in Mullingar. Sure its worth a try!! :D

    Thanks for the info folks

I remember my dad used to do tae-bo . . . problem was, he would do it late at night in the bedroom while my mom was trying to sleep!

It is a good workout, just imagine you are punching someone you really dislike, and you put much more effort into the punches!!!!!
