I know its not the place but Im in a tizzy here in work. Im 99% sure I turned off my hair straightener this morning but that 1% is driving me mad. Do Remingtons automatically knock off? Ive no idea of the model
I have contacted my landlord and he will send someone around for a look but they will have no key.
Wish I could leave work but I cant!!!

Im actually nearly sure I put it away but it would have been on the kitchen worktop - laminate I think.
    Thanks

Well, worst case scenario it'll melt the kitchen counter... but it's not gonna set anything on fire!

I absolutley hate it when that happens!

A quick google shows the newer ones at least have automatic turn off.

I'm sure it is just your brain inventing ways to torture you honest!

Thanks Ladies, was talking again to the Landlord and he reckons he would have been told if there were alarms going off etc,.. Its an apartment block.
Yeah I googled remingtons and most of them seem to have 60 min safety knock off but knowing my luck . . .
Im going to race home at 1.00pm

Ah, I wouldn't worry too much! I wandered off to work one day and left the iron on. It was on for a good ten hours and I only noticed about an hour after I'd been home 'cause it was making a weird clicky noise!
Everything was grand, it was just red hot!

Oh I know the feeling only too well! If you can go home at lunchtime then do, for peace of mind's sake.

I was going out one Friday night and I was halfway to wherever it was I was going to, when I started to convince myself that I'd left the oven on. Knew I wouldn't be able to relax until I reassured myself, so I turned around and went home to check.

I'll leave you to guess as to whether I'd left it on or not.
