My nickname used to be "Stoneballs". It came about in after all the young 'uns, of which I was one at the time, got into that social degeneration experiment called Jackass, and we pondered what our shownames would be were we on the programme (Jesus Christ, the inanity of youth or what?). The nickname would carry prefixes too sometimes, which became nicknames themselves. "Honourable Stoneballs", "Memerable Stoneballs", "Conservative Stoneballs", and "Disruptive Stoneballs" were the standouts.

I got some when my family lived in Galway for a year too. They were less flattering. "Spiggal" was one, based on the village that I had come from. "Doormat" another, from a lad who got a kick out of saying it. Ah well, rough with the smooth.

Judd, because when I was about 5 I wanted to type on my cousin's computer. I typed my name but I spelt it wrong without realising and saved it as a file somehow. He later found a file entitled Judd on the computer and so called me it after that and then it progressed to The Juddmeister. Used infrequently these days though.

A girl in my school was nicknamed after her likeness to a football player.

    Tevez.

Never had one growing up then all of a sudden they arrived in their droves.
The one that stuck is Danger - Because Jackass had a guy called Danger Ehren (not sure of spelling) and my name sounds like his.

When I get a good slagging then someone might call me Jimmy Jams because I wear PJs in bed.

It's not used too often now.

A young fella at work was once caught tossing himself off.
