I'd say they'll grow out of their little faux-yank accents. At least, I hope so.

It's Cartoon Network and Disney Channel that has the young 'uns talking like little American pr!cks

This explains all of the grown up 'pricks' running around the country.

I don't fully buy into the idea of an authentic 'Irish' culture, I mean what is it? Red hair and freckles, Aran sweaters, Guinness? But its definitely true that as a country we have become increasingly globalised and, if you want to use the term, Americanised. Tbh i don't really have a problem with our culture mingling with other cultures. There is a lot to be gained from other cultures. What I do have a problem with is the influence of a sort of super sweet sixteen-high school musical-Jamster hybrid which seems to be infecting our youth.

No one is selling an "Irish culture", we already have one. It just so happens that ours isnt very "exotic". Compare us with other countrues and there is feck all difference. Itallians love pizza and coffee, french love wine and cheese and are lightly tanned, we like bacon and cabbage, guinness, have fair skin and freckles. We all ave our particular look, food and drink. We have our own genuine culture. Are ya slightly embarrassed by that?

But your right about the super sweet sixteen crap ruining young kids minds, my neighbour who is 8 told me everything there is to know about MTVs the hills and how holly broke up with brody and now has her own show or something to that effect. I wondered did her mam know she is watching this ****e. Its slightly disturbing
