I don't know if it's been mentioned, but what I tried posting here before in a roundabout way is that Tomko is being advertised for the TNA show here in October. In the ads that I've seen in The Star countless times he's listed beside all their current roster. I have no idea why as he's still not with them now as far as I know. But he's being advertised

Tomko was advertised for the show in January, mainly because he was with the company when they first started advertising and it was never changed. I haven't seen him mentioned anywhere in relation to this show (that said I haven't seen many ad's besides the ones that were on Setanta a few months back). TNA themselves haven't mentioned anybody though here is the advertised line-up for the Germany, Austria and Switzerland legs:

    http://www.tnawrestling.com/content/view/1298/84/
The battle between the Main Event Mafia and Frontline will rage through Europe, as TNA Superstars Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle, “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles, “The War Machine” Rhino, Team 3D, “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe will battle inside the signature six-sided ring. Also on tap are the lovely and lethal TNA Knockouts and the high-flying stars of TNA’s X-Division.

And it would be a safe assumption that they're not going to change their line-up for the Irish show (it is only a day after the Switzerland show).

I thought i read somewhere that Tomko was gonna be next to try his hand at MMA. Not sure how reliable the source was though, but didn't he finish up with TNA at the end of last year?

Don't think this was already posted, but there were a few promo vids for the Oct. show put up on the MCD site around the time tickets went on sale. Could give an idea of who is gonna be at the show, although it is a few months away, so things could change.

    Abyss
    Beer Money
    Jay Lethal
    MCMG
    Samoa Joe

The ticket says meet and greet starts at 5 pm, gates open at 6.30 pm and shows begin at 8 pm. Bought the meet and greet on the first day of ticket sale at 9 am in morning! then i check back one hour later at ticketmaster website the meet and greet ticket were sold out already!. Huge demands from Irish fans!

Does anybody know what the meet and greet was like last time they were in Ireland. I wnet to the London show last year and there were only six wrestlers there.

They didn't have any here last time, they were giving out backstage passes during the show alright but no official meet and greet before the show.

Wonder how many meet and greet ticket were give out to people. It sells really quickly! Its very hard to find meet and greet pass for wrestling show in Ireland. Hope many wrestlers will do meet and greet because this ticket is really expensive like and hope they will give people value for money!

Did they sell any additional meet and greet tickets or is it just for the people who purchased the 81euro ticket.

    Where abouts are you sitting?

I asked the guy selling tickets at ticketmaster booth he said front frow ringside ticket all were gone. Im happy with second raw and its very cloee to the ring.

I managed to get a front row seat.

Is the arena hard to find I have never been to Dublin before?

    KBR Transport Shuttle Bus

We highly recommend that you avail of the shuttle bus service which has three routes:

    1. A service from St Stephen’s Green (near the Dublin tour bus stops) to the 02

    2. A service from Eden Quay (Laughter Lounge) to the 02

    3. A service from Amiens Street /Connolly station to the 02

All buses will carry signage indicating that they are The 02 shuttle buses and the timetable is overleaf. The Shuttle bus runs approx every 20mins from the above locations.

    Fare: €3 One Way / €5 Return

It's an expensive time if I go to everything I want to go to.

    AWR in August
    Bernard Dunne in September
    TNA in October
    2 WWE shows in November

Do these people conspire to dump all this on you at once!? I'll probably go to just two of those events as it will be too expensive otherwise. Just don't know which two. I'm leaning towards maybe TNA and Dunne.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21 Neon Samurai

Bernard Dunne is fighting who on september?? im big fan of him! Is the fight at the o2?. You can get AWR discounted ticket for just 20 euro at wrestlemania shop in Jervis street. Its limited to 50 person. WWE going to come to Dublin more often now so dont worry if you miss the one in november they probably come back for wrestlemania revenge tour during April. TNA shows really good to see tna at the o2 for first time will be off the hook and you can still get the ticket for 37 euro the cheapest one. Definitely going to Dunne if he fights again very soon. If you still want to go to wwe ones you have to pay at least 57 euro because 37 euro one is sold out. If i have to choose the one to go definitely, will be dunne because its competitive fights and wrestling is just entertainment. Dont know just make your own mind its pretty damn exciting time for Dublin!

I dont think its officially announced they were saying the bout could take place in Thailand http://www.rte.ie/sport/boxing/2009/0716/dunneb.html
I really want to go to the boxing at the o2. Missed the last fight in March because ticket were sold out. Turns out that night its the biggest boxing match title fight ever staged in Irish soil. Watch it at home till midnight it was unbelievable. So far i got tickets for TNA, AWR and wwe raw dx invasion tour. Thinking of going smackdown and ecw tour but might hold on the money just in case if dunne fighting again in Dublin. If UFC comes back to Dublin (sure they will next year) im buying it definitely in first day of sale. I kick myself many times for not purchasing the ticket during the first day. Can you believe UFC ticket sold out in 4 days? Still have to manage my budget and its very tempting to go and have to purchase expensive tickets!

the traffic is towards the o2 point is bad on a normal night, on a gig/concert night it can be worse, if you are near the quays walking straight down will be quicker!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 908 ✭✭✭The Cannibal

I was in Texas when the last Dunne fight happened, was gutted I missed it. Had to settle for a stream on my laptop. Definitely one of the fights of the year.

It won't happen in Thailand anyway cause Brian Peters won the purse bids. From what I read, it was either gonna happen here or in New York, but last I heard, they'd settled on here.

I will be travelling from the Brewleys airport hotel in Swords. Any ideas how to get to the O2 from there.

if you're doing it on the cheap (avoiding taxis etc):
Get any bus from Bewley's Hotel to the city centre, ask the driver to drop you off as near as possible to O'Connell Bridge. If you're coming from Swords/the airport, you'll probably be dropped on or beside O'Connell St. Just walk down O'Connell St to the river. At the bridge, make sure you are facing the river and your back is to the Spire on O'Connell Bridge. (This means you're at the bottom of O'Connell St basically, facing the river.) Turn left onto Eden Quay (which is right beside O'Connell Bridge) and walk along the river for about half an hour to the O2.

For a googlemap, have a look at
    http://tinyurl.com/MapToO2fromOConnellBridge

Having said that, the KBR bus from Eden Quay (right beside O'Connell Bridge) is a pretty reasonably priced option, I've taken it before, it's handy and the craic on the bus tends to be good. That'll save you the worry of wondering if you somehow walked past the O2 (I'm so bad at finding places that it's entirely possible that I would do this. Sorry if this sounds like 'directions for dummies', I'd just rather give you too much info than too little!). Hope this helps.
