TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION (TNA) WRESTLING ANNOUNCES A 2009 RETURN TO DUBLIN, IRELAND AT THE 02 ARENA: TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW!

Due to overwhelming demand from Irish fans, the superstars of Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling’s “TNA iMPACT!” (Saturdays, 9 p.m. on Bravo) will bring “TNA Live!” back to Ireland this October 3 at the O2 Arena in Dublin.

TNA celebrated a successful Irish debut in January with two sold-out events. With fans turned away on both nights, TNA officials decided to return to Ireland as part of their European tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland this Fall.

The Main Event Mafia and the superstars of TNA’s Frontline will return to Ireland to battle in the signature six-sided ring, as well as the high-flying, no-limits X-Division and the lovely and lethal TNA Knockouts.

Tickets start from €33.60 (excluding booking fee) and are available at all Ticketmaster locations as well as online at www.ticketmaster.ie . A limited number of tickets are priced €81 (including booking fee) are also on sale and include a meet and greet, free program and ringside seats.

TNA house shows are a really enjoyable experience, I would recommend any fan whether of TNA or not to go to one.

    F*cking KNEW it would be you! :P :P :P

The January show was awesome. I was at the first one (cos was at UFC for the second), especially with the Team 3D match spilling out into the crowd. I'm no fan of theirs by any means, but their wealth of experience really showed and shined at how they were able to interact with the crowd.

Jarrett also came across as very professional too, especially as he was in a non in-ring capacity on that night.

Also, Jeremy Borash is entertainin from start to finish. He could wake the dead with his enthusiasm alone.

If you haven't gotten your ticket for this yet, DO so! Cos TNA's house shows knock spots off WWE's ones, and i've been to enough of WWE's lame shows to base a solid judgment on that one. :)

I got two words for ya......... Beach ball haha

I agree SR 3D rocked it that night and it looked like real enthusiasm as opposed to working the crowd like vets

Could it have been anybody else? The first night in January was brilliant especially with Team 3D and the beachball. Beer Money were great fun to see live. Great main event with Styles and Angle, though I still haven't seen a Styles Clash live yet. JB really does a great job keeping the crowd hyped. I will admit to sporting my Jeff Jarrett t-shirt that night. Really great crowd that night aswell.

Almost forgot about Beer Money and the "Brokeback Mountain" chant :)
I had my Nash - Big Sexy Tour shirt on in support of the fallen comrade that night.

Really good knowledgeable crowd and not too many kids made it a great show

How much was at the last one? I might try get to this.

It was about 60-65 euro in (although we were a few rows away from front row), and that in the National Stadium, which by comparison to the o2 is a shoebox. :)

Far as I remember last time the price levels were pretty similar I think the top tix were €55 or something, there were no meet and greet tickets last time so we will see how that goes

The untimely death of Grandma Foley haha :(

Aw man, i'd completely forgot about all this. That said, i think Foley rambled a little too long during that segment.

Also how hot was Velvet Skye in the flesh, and how not Angelina Love has been in the last two years? I've no idea what recreational drugs the woman is on, but she's become the female equivalent of Ricky Morton as far as appearances go. :(

Shame because she was as hot as hell in 2007.

Haha foley went for cheap pops that backfired haha, Irish times references and stuff,Foley looks at Jarrett like what's wrong? And Jarrett just laughs his ass off

Agree with you about Skye on the night she was bright orange when I met her recently though still hot but really oddly orange

The Irish Times bit was just lousy research. But dear christ, trying to advocate Cork of all places in Dublin? That's a lead balloon waiting to drop, right there!

Aaaah the Tango tan, nice to see it's not just available in Ireland! :D
What was Velvet Skye like to meet anyway?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,492 ✭✭✭EdK

it was Skye and Love as a double act they were both friendly and relaxed pity Nowinski wouldn't **** off and stop interupting my time with them though

Ah this is great...we can finally talk about "that show" thats on! I went for the meet and greet package and got 3rd row. Looking forward to meeting them!

great event overall, except for there being no meet and greet

TNA was by far the most entertaining show to have taken place recently in Ireland. I really hope they can transfer the unreal atmosphere of the Stadium to the vastly bigger o2 Arena

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,492 ✭✭✭EdK

I've met a good shot of the TNA wrestlers at this stage including Sting,Nash, Angle, Styles and Joe and alot of the undercard talent and I must say they have all been pretty sound with the exception of Alex Shelley

So the meet and greet should be pretty good for those who bought tickets, I have row 3 aswell I think, same as I had last year but when I got to the venue there was only one row infront of me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,153 ✭✭✭Jolt2007

This might have to be hit. I presume the house shows differ from tv by actually having wrestling and maybe even a few clean finishes?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,788 ✭✭✭✭krudler

Anyone know if the meet and greet is an autograph session as well? got front row tickets with the meet included but it doesnt say anything aside from the time its on at the O2 on the tickets

from what i heard the meet and greet is the usual wrestlers sitting behind tables and people queueing for miles, at least that was what the tna meet and greets in england recently comprised of

as for the first tna show in january, what a brilliant experience, best house-show i have ever attended, my main memory of that night wil always be morgan and bubba belting each other outside perilously close to the old women with the handbags on the ground behind me, i am not sure they should have used 4 guys as big as abyss, morgan and the dudleys for a match like that :P

i still haven't got me tickets for the o2 show but i will

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,602 ✭✭✭✭ShawnRaven

I honestly don't think TNA will sell out the o2. I do think it will attract a good crowd, more the two nights at the National Stadium did anyway. Either way, i do think TNA will do well out of it.

i see on ticket master the best available tix are ring c. this show isnt selling at a fast pace. i got 3rd row and cannot wait. the show in january was one of the best if not the best i have been to. foleys cheap pops backfiring was priceless and the street fight tag was a pleasant surprise and good to see. Did anyone else thing that the ring is way bigger looking on tv? i thought it looked smaller in the flesh so to speak:p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,917 ✭✭✭RebelRockChick

I went to the second night in January and honestly a better experience than any WWE houseshow i've been to. Maybe it was because it was in a smaller venue or something.
Main event was Jarrett vs. Angle with Foley as special guest enforcer.

My ticket for the October show arrived the other week, second row. Looking forward to it :)

They aren't expecting to sell it out I'd say they drew around 5,000 to two nights last time and sold alot of merchandise if they get around 8,000 they will be well pleased as they can't even draw that to a big ppv in the US

Nah, i knew TNA's ring wasn't gonna look big. It's not so much that TNA's ring is small though, it's just that WWE's ring is bigger than everyone elses. Any indy show, be it local or not are usually 18x18, but WWE use 20x20. TNA used 18x18 i think before they went six sided in 2004, but i'm not sure what their current measurements are.

I'd prefer if they didnt, a decent crowd would be great but it'd be better if it was a smaller older crowd which it probably will be,with two WWE shows within a few weeks of it parents will probably spend the money on bringing their kids to the WWE shows which means it wont be high pitched chants all night like back in April

That's gonna happen anyway i'm afraid. The TNA shows in January had their fair share of kids too. So don't fool yourself into thinking that TNA will attract a more "mature" audience. It won't.

I thought ODB looked great. But I'm easily swayed by a large chest. :o

Personally I thought the show was pretty enjoyable and I'd like to go to this one but Can't make it. Should be good though. Are they still selling meet & greet type tickets?

Really enjoyed the first TNA show , i remember me and The Flananator were tempted to start a " Your No Over " at Taylor Wilde . It was one of the best shows i went to , JB was very good at hyping up the crowd and i think the the small things like that help make it a good show . The bringing a few people back to meet some of the roster was a good touch . Will prob get a cheap seat for the TNA show in Oct

Yeah it's amazing what tv cameras can do, same for the impact zone, every time I go there it always seems really small but when your watching on tv it always seems to be a lot bigger and have a lot more people in it.

Like many others I would recommend the TNA shows over WWE, every TNA show I have been to has been enjoyable but with WWE after the first time it just all seems a bit repetitive.

MORE NEWS ON TNA'S JANUARY 2010 UK TOUR - VENUES HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED!

Here are the venues for TNA's upcoming tour of the United Kingdom:

    SATURDAY, JANUARY 23
    Glasgow Braehead Arena
    Glasgow, Scotland

    TUESDAY, JANUARY 26
    Bournemouth International Center
    Bournemouth, England

    WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 27
    Cardiff International Arena
    Cardiff, England

    THURSDAY, JANUARY 28
    Coventry Skydome
    Coventry, England

    FRIDAY, JANUARY 29
    Manchester Evening News Arena
    Manchester, England

    SATURDAY, JANUARY 30
    London Wembley Arena
    London, England

TNA are going for another ambitious UK tour in January, i's say if they could they would set up shop in the UK full time, they are far more successful there but I suppose wrestling starved fans tend to snap up the tickets fast, i doubt it would be the same if they ran the UK 2-3 times a year

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,602 ✭✭✭✭ShawnRaven

Hrm, 24th and 25th must be reserved for more dates, doubt Ireland would be in there, as it makes no sense flying over and back. If they do Ireland it'll be

    1) depending on the success of the October show and
    2) more than likely prior to the UK dates.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,492 ✭✭✭EdK

I'd say January would be too soon for a return to Ireland, maybe the gap is intentional for moving around and maybe a few sight seeing days for the wrestlers :p,but you could well be right there were rumours last year of a UK ppv

Maybe I've been spoiled by the ROH and NOAH shows that I've seen in England the last couple of years, but am I the only one who was distinctly underwhelmed by the TNA houseshow? I was at the second night in the boxing arena and I was a little bored.:(

It's easy to assume that Jan is too early, but if you consider that Smackdown came to Dublin twice in four months in 2005 and both shows were successful, even if the Summerbash one was terrible.

TNA could pull it off for Attitude era nostalgia trippers. That doesn't mean they will though.

For a small venue its abit likely but not for anywhere like the O2 again it takes TNA alot longer to sell out a show than the WWE, hence why they put them on sale so long in advance

Oh do not get me wrong, i highly doubt TNA would fill up the o2 on two nights in such a short space of time.

Nor should they, there's no point in saturating the market. I'm hoping to see Daniels in October.

I agree about saturating the market, but it would be nice to see another North American promotion other than WWE be successful over here. WCW's attempt at it in 1993 was a flop.

They'll fill it, just not to capacity. But it'll still be a decent crowd I think.

They love coming over to the UK and Europe it's worth a fortune to them, I don't think they'll sell out either but it will still make handy money all told

Even if they do only pull between 5-7k with the crowds, it'll still be stacks more than the amount they pulled in January this year.
