I'm really disappointed with the rewards on offer and some are not in stock

Has anyone ordered the Hughes & Hughes book vouchers using their Piggy Point? I ordered some three weeks ago and they haven't arrived yet. Not sure if they're just slow to dispatch them. The Piggy Points have been removed from my account already.

Will probably contact Pigsback about it next week.

IMO they have gone really downhill in the past few weeks. It seems they are now doing less rewards.
Must be the credit crunch

See it now costs 1,300 points to get a €10.00 tolltag voucher. I think I'm going to complain because on their home page it says I have for example 1000 piggypoints which is worth €10.00 in rewards which is a complete lie.

it can take three or four weeks for these to arrive.

if you've ordered a big amount (think its over €80) they arrive by registered post.... totally freaked me out once, i thought it was a summons!!

I've used the coupons since 2001 and estimate a quarter of the points were credited which is great, I'm happy enough with just the money-off coupon if they're any good.. They were a great site, it was/is all for free

Has anyone seen the mess they've done of the forums on pigsback? It's woeful so it is. They've also annoyed the pigsback UK crowd by fiddling with the method of earning points. As another poster pointed out, I guess they're affected by companies cutting back

I contacted Pigsback. The letter was lost in the post. They are resending them to me.

Booked a room through the Roomex link on the Pigs back site. Booking made 3 weeks ago and no sign of the points. Got onto pigs back and asked what the story was, i was told to wait.

Anyone else with a similar Roomex/Pigsback story?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,832 ✭✭✭robo

With some sites it can take up about 5 weeks to get the points, but you should get them. They would dela with their client(Roomex etc) on a monthly basis or something like that to credit the points of people who booked services or bought goods on the parnter sites through Pigsback. So that is the norm

Anyone else with a similar Roomex/Pigsback story?

happens me every time i book with roomex.

i always have to email them with the roomex confirmation code, and then i get a generic reply saying taht the credits are pending and will be through in 48 hours.

keep emailing them if you get nowhere.

Robo and Sam, Thanks for the replies.

I read the T&C section, with Roomex it states that the points are credited within 24 Hrs.

I had a similar story with booking through the 1-800-Hotels link on that site as well. I had to chase up those points the last time also.

It now states on the site it takes up to 6 weeks for points to be credited to Roomex bookings

Does anyone know if you can use two €10 Hughes and Hughes vouchers together? They've ever so kindly gotten rid of the €20 voucher.

That is bad of them...the €20 vouchers were 2,200 point where they have the €10 vouchers at 1,200 points, so 2 X €10 vouchers will now cost you 2,400 points!!!

I am now only spending my points on €10 vouchers for TGIF's, they are 900 points. But i used to live on the Hughes & Hughes vouchers, I think I looked back before on my points and found over the past few years that I bought €200 of H&H vouchers...they are a rip off now!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,722 ✭✭✭thebiglad

Yes you can order multiple vouchers

Also Hughes and Hughes will leave any unused credit on your card so not necessary to order multiple €10 vouchers with the intention to spend all in 1 visit.

I used to spend all my points on cdwow vouchers until they got rid of them. I was going to get a Pizza Hut voucher, only they vanished. I see the Storm cinemas one is gone too. They're getting rid of everything!

Do they shop actually let you use two vouchers in one transaction though?

Yep they do, I had so many that I used to put a little sticker on them to write the amount on the card so that I know how much, but they will check the value on them anytime. The staff in H&H are usually very helpful.

you no longer get points for redeeming the coupons and only get 5 or 10 points for printing off selected coupons! also i have yet to come across any supermarket that stocks that pedigree better by nature that they have a €2 off coupon for. pigsback just isn't worth the hassle of logging in anymore!

Well at least then we will get points for the vouchers, cos plenty of people have said on here before that they have not received the points back. And some have.

You must be logged in as a Pigsback member when you process a booking, if you simply go to pigsback.com and process as it cant accurately be tracked. If you havent received your points simply email Roomex, they are very efficient, http://www.roomex.com/contact_us.html or contact Pigsback Customer service, also very good at replying.

    Hope this helps.
