Have you ever lived with people that you found annoying, or did they ever do something anoying. I had 2 flatmates last year, knackers, that where messy *****. They paid 315 each a month to stay in the flat but they only came to my flat to get a shower, so i got this huge flat to myself for the whole year. only had to pay my share. and they paid 315 each for not even living in it. they think their smart too. Whats youre experiences from living with other people? good or bad?

When I was in college I needed someone to share my apartment with and eventually took in a Chinese dude called Jiao. On the 3rd night after he moved in he was brushing his teeth or some **** in the bathroom and I heard a thud.

I passed no remarks at first and then heard a glass break so I ran into the bog only to find Jiao having some sort of seizure on the floor.

I was somewhat drunk at the time and remember asking him if he wanted a glass of water as his mouth was foaming and he seemed in some distress.

Eventually I called an ambulance and it turned out to be epilepsy

He's a sysadmin in Shanghai now, and I'm posting his biography on a forum :o

i almost ended up in private residents tenancies court with my landlord.
one of my "flatmates" was having personal problems and decided to say to the landlord that i was messy and stealing food etc. of course the landlord just decided to believe her. i laughed when i read the letter of termination of contract... i was being a nuisance...ha ha...
i went stright to citizens advice and explained the case. they thought the landlord was definately at fault.. i was i suppose bullied by both the landlord and tenant. both of which i managed to show up...i remember ringing up my landlord and listing out all the regulations she was in breech of...silence.....i enjoyed that
the agency got through to landlord after much debate and tenant also moved out
i later moved out...because she didnt fix heating
she should be named and shamed

Once i stayed over a friends place. I woke up at 8.30 still drunk and had to leave at 10 but didn't want to wake my firend. Looked for a good dvd to watch and found some porn. At 10 I put it in his dvd player, paused it at the worst/best possible moment and left.

He was awoken at 12 by some guy who had come to fix his dish washer.
He showed the guy into the kitchen/sitting room and.....

...well you can guess the rest :pac:.

TBH they sound like GREAT flatmates?

Not a horror story by any means, but an illustration of how annoying my flat mate is: she cleaned the bathroom the other day. You know the glass in which you keep the toothbrush/toothpaste? She removed mine from the glass and left them on the little shelf thing. OK, she owns the glass, but really? How petty.

Yep living with a terrible one right now. The only nice thing I can say is she isn't noisy, so I always get a good night's sleep. Other than that she's a nutcase. She seems to project all of her problems onto me - she's really dirty and messy and the place is a pig sty, yet she acts like it's my mess and asks me to clean up. She gives out if I leave a cup next to the sink in the morning, yet has left her dirty pots in the kitchen for 2 weeks (so I can't cook anything). She's had loads of free time, she was home before 7 the other night, yet couldn't find 10 minutes to wash her dishes. She frequently locks me out by leaving her keys in the door so I have to bang on the door at 4am after a night out - ffs it's like living with an elderly aunt or something! I'M PAYING to live there yet she treats me like an unwanted guest. Nightmare. Leaving soon and thank God.

And you don't return the compliment by saying anything to her? Is she a bodybuilder or some kind of ninja/wizard/daughter of a ninja or a wizard?

You wake your flatmate up at 4am? Bet she's glad you're leaving!

How messy could they have been if they were never there and only came home to have a shower?

I had a few flatmates over the years like that, they were either from the country and went home the weekends or they were staying at the girlfriend's most of the time. No bother there, really. It was great having the place to yourself at the weekends!

My worst one were three czechs (a couple and the girl's brother). They just took over the place to such an extent that I wasn't even comfortable being in the same room as them. To cut a long story short, it was clear within three months that the dynamic wasn't working and they were asked to leave.
They'd have been better off in their own place, not sharing with strangers.

I#ve lost count of the amount of people I've house-shared with! Last year, I just had enough of it and moved into a one-bed apt, happy days :)

Obviously I do. She just doesn't seem to get it.

Yeah - it's not like it's possible to NOT leave your keys in the door as if you were the only person living there. I guess I should never go out past my 'bedtime' in case I can't get back in.

Had a flatmate who was in to S+M. Girlfriend was getting a check-up and the surgery reported the wounds to the Guards. Skip to 7 am Saturday Morning I am leaving the house to be surrounded by 4 of Kildares finest. After explaining I was not the guy the seargent explained " We have pictures of X's arse down at the station and its not a pretty sight". They took away a load of weird stuff and equipment( a frame shaped like an X). Dont know the outcome as I moved before he was released.
