There's nothing about a support, but then again, there was no support expected at the Marquee last year, and The Chapters were on beforehand. The standard Neil Young set is two hours. On at nine, finished by eleven, I'd say.

2026 Gigs and Events: An Evening with The Fast Show, Prima Facie, Stereolab (NCH), Foo Fighters, David Byrne (3Arena), Belle and Sebastian (x2), Kraftwerk, Paul Simon, David Byrne (St. Anne's Park), Keb' Mo', Metallica (x2), Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Embrace, Sigur Rós with the Ulster Orchestra, Crash Test Dummies, Gilbert O'Sullivan, Ben Folds, Jeff Tweedy, Nicko McBrain

All I know is there's been support at the other European dates on this tour, so take that for what it's worth.

Think theres an 11 o' clock curfew for acts now, could be wrong though?

    ;) Indeed!

Can't wait hope it's a long one! Have to give the new album a few spins, I listened to it a few times when it came out but it was nothing special.

If he plays more off Zuma and Tonight's the Night I'll be a happy camper. Lookout Joe and Drive Back to be precise! And Clancy and Birds would be cool too.

I hope he plays "A Day In The Life". Just been listening to it on Youtube and it's a fantastic version!! Either that or "Imagine". I havent seen him in concert since the "Mirrorball" tour, I think? The one where he had Pearl Jam(sans Ed Ved), as his backing band.

    Hi guys,

Heading to Neil Young myself tonight but never been to the O2. Coming from the South so any thoughts on a good place to park where I can walk/public transport it to the venue ?

    thanks

does anyone know, is there a pit in the standing area, or will it be easy enough to get to the front ?

When I was at the Judas Priest gig in February there was no pit, and it was quite easy to get up quite close even though I was a fair bit back in the queue as well.

Ticket says doors at 6:30pm. Here's hoping for Dangerbird and Thrasher.

Just got back, where does a man of 62 years get all that energy?

Getting better each year. Great gig.

I thought he played more songs than that??? What a f**kin fantastic gig, though. And the support act weren't half bad either!!?? He played a few songs that I've never heard of too. I must go and invest in some of his back catalogue! Any suggestions where to start? I already have "Harvest", "Harvest Moon", "After The Goldrush", "Decade", a Greatest Hits collection, and "Unplugged".

Oh, and by the way(just to be pedantic), he's 63!!

You have to get On the Beach, from 1974. There's a few songs off it on Decade (Walk On and For the Turnstiles), but you really need it for the last three songs (On the Beach, Motion Pictures and Ambulance Blues), the original side two of the vinyl.
Sleeps with Angels from 1994 is pretty essential too.

Last night was worth the admission price just for Burned.

Harvest and after the goldrush would probably be my least favourite albums....go for 'On The Beach' , 'Tonight's the night' 'Comes a Time'.......and 'Everybody knows this is nowhere' .....

    Great gig....

Can't forget Zuma! And his Live at Canterbury House album is great too, both for the songs and the funny stories and chat! I'd plump for Ragged Glory over Sleeps with Angels though.

On the gig last night, is the reason Neil turns away from the crowd a lot is to get more feedback from the amps?

Great gig. If I have any complaints, it would be his persistence to finish with "A Day in the Life" (He did this last year as well). I would prefer he would finish with one of his own songs. Other than that just a great show.

OK. I was gonna mark my highlights in bold, but I realised almost everything was a highlight for me. It's probably easier to mark what I didn't enjoy as much.

Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black) / Mansion On The Hill / Are You Ready For The Country? / Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere / Pocahontas / Words / Cinnamon Girl / Mother Earth / Don't Let It Bring You Down / Lost In Space / On The Way Home / Burned / Harvest Moon / Down By The River / Get Behind The Wheel / Rockin' In The Free World // A Day In The Life

Only one song from the new album: Get Behind The Wheel. I have to say, I didn't like it as much until I heard it live.

Probably two of his best albums IMO.

Each to their own with regards favourite albums really. But I think it's the mark of greatness that he has the potential to play two if not three completely different setlists and still be great!

Try these albums Yuma, Prarie Wind, Comes A Time, Living With War, Chrome Dreams 2.

Depending on the mood, they all have great tracks.

Regards albums I am just pointing out what I regard his better albums....Harvest and After The Gold Rush are good albums, but the songs are too bland for my tastes....maybe played to death a little, perhaps just too familiar....

I do however find it amazing that a Neil Young fan would not have 'On The Beach' or 'Everybody Knows this is Nowhere'....or just not own every album in the first place...

Fantastic gig, loved every second of it. Great atmosphere in there aswell, and as another poster up above pointed out, pretty much a totally different setlist from last year. :D
