This young man was somebodies son and you are a disgrace for being so presumptious and callous.

I am galled at your lack of sympathy for his family and friends.

Oh, nonsense. He was a bloody scumbag. Why his mother was so upset I don't know, if my son was like that i'd be glad to see him go. As for his friends, no doubt they were scum as well.

Gun crime is out of control, these dirt dont give 2 fukcs who, when or where they shoot. In finglas last week, a body was found stabbed, a few hours later another body found shot and partially buried, a man from finglas, as I drove through Finglas every second car I passed was an unmarked garda car, with armed garda in it, probably from all over Dublin, then the same day at 4.30pm another fella was shot in the arse a few times about 200m from the home of 2nd body, the fukcers didnt even bother waiting till the place cooled down, just shows how much they fear being caught, yet they werent, even though the place was swarming with armed gardai.

Another incident happened a few weeks back, wasnt even reported, a scumbag was mouthing he was going to do this and that outside a house, he walked down the road and a van picked him up, within seconds a cyclist with a balaclava comes looking for him as the van pulls off, the cyclist heads from finglas west down to finglas south where he finds your man and produces a gun, tries to blow his head off but your man raises his arm and knocks the gun as its being fired and runs another shot is fired but he only got a few pellet wounds as he was wearing a bullet proof vest.

I've watched gun crime rise and rise in this place over the years, it gets worse as time goes by, more common and frequent, more blatant and indiscriminate. Sometimes I say "let them kill each other" but then I think whats coming after them and its worse, these fellas were kids when it got bad and using guns to settle anything is "NORMAL" to them.

Anybody wanting to source a gun in Finglas is no problem if the price is right, it could take from 2mins to an hour and "there you go!" happy hunting or whatever you want it for.

    Its sick....

I could probably get one myself, doubt it would have nail polish though, maybe a tag.

Yeah in Galway you only have to worry about being raped days after you get into the country or being killed and left in a freezer :D

Those appalling high profile cases aside, Galway apparently has the lowest crime rate statistically of any city in the country (really only Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Waterford but still).

While it's quite rare to hear about gun crime in Galway at the moment, there are guns around the place in the hands of the wrong people. They just haven't used them much up to this point but there's no gaurentee that they won't in future. Hopefully not though!
