Couldn't agree with you more EdK, they are an awful hassle.

But in saying that, there is something magical about those forms.........

Those forms are a pain in the arse! It cost me £15 stg to fax them from my local library!

    I am booking my flights tomorrow!!! - €660 (Dub-Phx, Phx-Las, Las-Dub) - not bad!

Can't wait until September so I can start booking things!

Are there any grand canyon excursions you can do from Vegas? Wouldn't wanna miss that if it's available.

It looks like I'll have to go to Las Vegas when Mania goes there. :(

Oh, if anybody is looking for a good place to stay in Vegas, PM me...got a great deal on condo units...

1 bed condo...2 plasma tv's, kitchen, diner, living room...pool, sauna, free shuttle to Strip and shops all day and night - sleeps 4 (about $82 plus tax per night)

2 bed condo...3 plasma tv's, kitchen, diner, living room...pool, sauna, free shuttle to Strip and shops all day and night - sleeps 6 (about $110 plus tax per night)

Great resort that has just been completely renovated. I booked a 2 bed and a 1 bed for the group of us going and we are pretty happy with that price! Its far better than a standard hotel in that you don't have to eat out all the time!

I'm sure by the time you are booking you will find a cheap hotel. There's always deals going on.

Yeah it's just that it's like all Vegas hotels are ridiculously cheap at the moment. 5 star hotels for like $100 a night, what's going on?! I don't really get it lol.

Spose the recession is hittin Vegas. I'm still in 2 minds if I'll go or not.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,005 ✭✭✭Haz2311

That's what I figured. That's why I'm weary of the prices shooting up in a couple of months lol. Ah well like you said, there'll always be deals about. You might as well go seeing as you're in that neck of the woods, extend your trip :)

Seems like a good price for what you are getting.

Watch out for Atlanta though. I still have nightmares.

It gets better mate, last time i was in vegas i stayed in the Flamingo and got one of them reward cards (you sign up for it when u check in and its free). Did a bit of gambling but nothing major and not major stakes either, but anyway everytime i played on rapid rolette or slots etc i stuck in this card into the slot provided and gain i suppose loyalty points. So when bookin through there own web site and entering my card details as well, they are givin 6 nights comp (free) from the double room in the hotel, and the rest of the nights at about $15 a night :D total hotel bill in vegas $ 30 :p

Ya know it might be worth ringing and tryin to contact somone in upper management at the hotel in vegas first and try to get some or all comp nights during your stay, lets face it the recession is hittin hard and its better for these hotels to have people gambling with comp rooms, that having empty room and no guess's gambleing. Worth a try me thinks ?

vegas is a tourist town, it does nothing else but entertain tourists, there really is no other business, it has 150,000 rooms to fill EVERY night (thats twice as many as NYC), the convention business which made up about 25-30% of total visitors to vegas has collapsed totally, leaving thousands upon thousands of empty rooms to fill
