The kid could have been 14 even if he was in primary school, but even if he was 12 I don't think it matter, should have sold it to him. Whether he genuinely wanted it for the motors mag or zoo I don't think it really matters.
I just to dread buying magazines like that when I was younger just in case something like this did happen! Poor kid :pac:

No. It's the average age of a Zoo writer.

    Theres writing in there?

Well if he was in a primary school uniform you probably did the right thing. If he went into school showing his mates and it was spotted there'd probably be a few angry teachers and parents baying for blood.
"Won't somebody please think of the children?" and all that sh!te...

With that said if it was me I probably would have just sold it to him because I'd just see it as +1 sale and nothing more. If overprotective parents came I'd let them yell at me all they like and just point out to them that it was a motors magazine, and the lads mag just happened to be with it.

On the other hand he's probably gonna go home and google boobies and whatever he finds on the internet will be ten times worse than what's in Zoo magazine.

Everybody google boobies and hit the I'm feeling lucky button!!!:pac:

I've voted yes.. poor fcuker just needs inspiration. If his parents found it and came back to the shop, I'd tell them that the original magazine is within his age group but didn't realise there was anything extra. I'd also give them a quick chat about how their 'little boy' might be growing up

I'm likely to tell them to cop the fcuk on, he's probably heard you riding since he was at least 8. :)

Any parent that walks in shouting the odds at a shop keeper over a bit of tit, needs a bit of a wake up call ;)

    Voted Yes.

It seems almost romantically old-fashioned to be worried about a kid looking at rags like that when he's probably more than savvy enough to ferret out far worse on the net.

I voted yes: it's better he gets his jizz on a magazine than all over the keyboard and monitor.

IMO I dont see the harm in it, hes going to get his rocks off anyway like most boys his age!

Yeah better he get it off on some glad rag than getting some tart aged like 13 up the pole!

Well that wasnt really what I was getting at but yeah I see your point. I was referring to something a bit more hardcore than boobs. The interweb has some yukky stuff on it that even makes my eyes water.

was it Bob Geldof who went apeshít over what he saw in a girls magazine
it had cheap plastic tat on the front that only very little girls would accept and inside stuff about how to pleasure boys ?

KeyLime Pie, don't you see what you have done? You've ruined the hopes and dreams of that young lad! I bet he woke up this morning thinking, I'm going to get that mag today and I'm going to bring it into school and show all the lads. No longer will I be 'little primary school boy', I'll be little primary school man', 'the legend'. No more bigger kids picking on me, no more cries of 'nerd', I'll be the king of the playground, life is on the up for me!

Then cruel reality smashes down as KeyLime Pie, judge and purveyor of titty magazines refuses to serve him, leaving the boy to walk the lonely road to school, confidence shattered, just another nerd!

    Shame on you!

There is no age restriciton on Zoo magazine.
    Simple as that.
You should have sold him the magazine.
I remember when i was that age i was refused a can of Club Shandy which had less than 0.5% Alcohol and i was so embarrased.
The scars still live with me today when i go to order a pint.
You've just ruined this young fella.
    Hope your happy!!

Why would he need a mag? sure shouldn't society be encouraging kids to use their imaginations?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,460 ✭✭✭StaticNoise

The fact of the matter is, 12 year olds enjoy Nuts, Zoo and other similar magazines.
And yes, purely for the articles! ;)

S**t, society is jumping off a cliff? Where.. i might be able to get off work early and go.
Was this a mass organized jump or spur of the moment?
Either way i should have been told so i could go..
