Personally, I'm all about this song:

It came on in the pub the other night, (Yes, the PUB, not a club, a pub) and I felt the need to ring my friend just to sing along to it.
Makes me chuckle every time.

Husker Du's Zen Arcade. Always popped that on after coming home from work one summer (had some of the worst moments of my life working there).

Turn On The News is one of the greatest songs ever, words can describe how I felt when I heard that for the first time!

Sounds like a total hyperbole, but it is one of the few songs that impacted on me so much upon first listen.

Same here. Several listens after too. Amazing guitar, vocals and a really catchy chorus. I think Rolling Stone had it in their 500 greatests songs of all time.
