    There's 200,000 regs on boards

    Lets say 4,000,000 people in Ireland

    Lets say 50% are spambots/reregs etc

    That still means 1 out of every 40 people you meet in a pub are registered on boards.

    OP - not yet but definitely plan on doing so at some stage. I probably would have thought it a bit weird also but the longer I lurk around these boardsies the more they seem to grow on me :D

    If you count me and the dude I know from my local (who was site banned, but has no doubt re-registered. Hi, Philly.), then I only know of 2 out of ~300 regulars from my local.

    Well, certain groups would be more likely to post on boards- over a certain age wouldn't, etc. So the figure'd prob be higher unless you drink in an old fellas pub Terry :)

    Not that I know of. I've met up with people from another forum, in another country though, that was fun! I think that Boards is so big and is quite intimidating and is also a bit cliquey (not in a bad way) that I wouldn't really feel comfortable going to a beers, yet anyway! There's a couple of people that I've met on boards that I talk to on msn sometimes but I don't think I'd have the guts to turn up at beers for people to be like "who the **** are you?" (and then probably slag me for being ginger :()

    Now that imo is a fair assesment of boards.ie .It may not be true, but it can seem at times to even to the most innocent of eyes, a bit ' cliquey' .But apart from talking to 4 people on msn and one on facebook ,I still have yet to meet a bordsie in person ( living in uk means a lesser chance to ) :)

    I started a new job recently and passed a guy's desk today and noticed he was on boards. I was laughing to think we could well be both posting in the same thread while sitting a few feet away from each other.

    I talk to some on that msn ... We allso, disscuss things some times random thing other times serous things genrally tho ive got a large network of internet friends....

    never been on a boards beer.... tho, i might be at the next one Im not so sure , Dave clark playing :D... but ive gottin drunk with my bro lots hes a boardsie....
