    Hey, I'm looking to translate "I'm on a boat" for a t-shirt...

Would that be "táim ar bhád" or "táim ar bád"?

    "táim ar bád"

If it's 'a' boat as opposed to the boat, then it would be ar bhád.

The preposition 'ar' aspirates an indefinite noun that follows it.

'Táim ar bord báid' is correct. 'Bord' doesn't have a fada.
