First post here and I was going to leave it until later but my god this thread makes me mad, the attitude of Guards (Im assuming they are) on this forum stinks, even on a forum you are talking down to people. Chill out, relax and actually take on board what the members of thepublic are saying.

    Over and out :D

    When were you arrested?:D

Your first post was in here to say that? Believe it or not, there's an Angry Bastard forum where you can rant and rave all day long about the Gardaí if you want to.

Welcome to boards. Hope we can be friends.
This is my point, Im not ranting and raving, its my point of view, dont like it well its tough really, My best friend is a guard and I also have another good friend who is one, no issues just this power trip thread (The replies I mean)

Never actually, always had good dealings with the ole Garda, just it seems like a few posters here are being a bit over arrogant, maybe they are compensating for lack of respect on the beat and need it here, I dont know but I cant wait to find out :D

Now time to ask some questions on checkpoints

Any was stoped driving a new car under trade plates, i only had one plate (i know), anyway once he realised i didnt have the second the **** hit the fan.I was told i was uninsured, untaxed, unregistered and would be reciving a summons, is this the likly outcome.

    Also
I regulary drive diffferent cars upto 4-5 / day, i usually keep a insurance in my wallet in the same pocket as my licence IE photo page turn over insurance disk, now i have been stoped once with this but i knew the garda so this wasnt an issue, but what will the outcome when i hit a checkpoint, will this be okay

    Thanks

So anyway, as soon as she realised i was married to a cop

So my question is this... is this what they are teaching in templemore these days????

What did the wife have to say about this?

Random : And no offence to any of you guys, but I couldn't help but notice the grammer, punctuation and spellings of some of the Gardai in this thread is disgraceful!

On Topic: I find men cops a LOT nicer than women. Women are venom. I nearly got myself arrested (I'm not even the troublesome type) from a pure personality clash with one of the females. The male gaurd I was dealing with brought me into the interview room to calm down and was pretty nice, although he did tell me he didnt like me calling his collegue a jumped up bitch. :/
He also admitted that she "was out of order". But, so was I. The next night, I went back into the station to apologise to her, and she was as nice as pie. A complete 360 to what she was the night before. I've met her since and she's been very friendly.
I've also met that male dude where I work, he recognised me and reminded me who he was, as I didnt recognise him out of uniform.

But, yeah. In my experience, men > women. In general, not just the gardai.

Random #2: Can one of the gardai (the ones that know how to use full stops) pm me because, I need to ask an anon. question about illegal behaviour/moral dilema.

il be honest with ya when i first started ie proby i would have but you slowly get tuned into people .. meet that garda again in a year and shel b totally different . most people think your training stops in templemore when in fact your training begins ony when you leave templemore. a lot of people assume aggression equals control of a situation. withing 2 seconds of comong across an incident a experianced garda will be able to ascertain what way to deal with a situation ie some situations call for an agry thinck mule others call for diplomacy .. this banner will learn that

I feel horrid now, but at least I at least try make an effort :/
