Setting things up for tomorrow morning :)
Hopefully we'll get a good one, and that they do PERMANENTLY kill off a major character and NOT bring them back next season

I suspect though the freezer girl/Ali Larter will come back  , she'll pull a Terminator 2 trick and all her frozen bits will melt and reform

Who bets they swept up all her bits and put them into cold storage? ...Heroes find out and thaw her out. Anywhoo... back in Sept., hopefully more Fuller written episodes...consulting ain't gonna help the multitude of dire writers.

We'll see how things pan out later tonight:)

If anyone wants to know spoilers for what I know about this episode, read the tags below. If not, don't....!

Tracy Strauss will return with a better understanding and range of her powers.... This was Bryan Fuller's idea as the other writers had wanted to kill her off. Fuller said that was a bit lazy and it'd be more interesting to let her live and explore where her character would go in the wake of helping Micah etc.....

The person who dies will be dead dead dead..... But they might still be in the show next season..... Presumably meaning, Sylar will steal their identity..... This leads me to believe it will be Nathan who dies.....

New female villain will be introduced at the opener for Vol 5, which is called Redemption....

There are stories set up for next season for Claire, The Petrellis, The Bennets and Hiro.... So none of those people will die.

It's not much but there ya have it....

    Well....plotholes anyone?
It was a good episode with a few nice twists, but it's pretty much RIP for Heroes as a show. It's obvious Sylar/Qunito is leaving the show....as killing Sylar pretty much kills the show.

Having Nathan as Sylar will NEVER work!, Pasdar can't pull off the character, he'll never compare...it's obvious Nathan will become Sylar next season, but does Nathlar have any of Sylars old powers, like can he shapeshift?

Ali Larter...shocker, not!...she melted and went into the drainage system/water supply...now she's back for revenge, meh. LIsten...in principle the idea of having Sylar as Nathan on the surface opens up some nice storyline/plotline possibilites. But as we all know it's a rather transparent way of writing Quinto out of the show!

It won't work, Qunito was the backbone of this show and Nathan will NEVER be able to come close to Quinto's screen presence and acting. Even for the four volume they didn't really set that much up for next season. It was a very good ep. but it's just a smokescreen to try and con the fans!

    Another Anti-climactic ending!
I mean they feel like they are building up to something really big. But in the end, its not as big as i thought it would be.
The fight scene was a bit of a let-down of whatever it was I thought all we saw was Claire struggling to open the doors and her eye, and Nathan being killed, that was it.)

True that there would be a few deaths if not a few twists to it including a new baddie?
Why didn't Claire heal Nathan? It's been done before to save Noah in Season 2.
So tracy on a rampage for a reason i hope we find out.. she had a sylar look in her. Nathan is sylar, sylar is nathan.... don't get it, does it mean that Zachary is no longer in heroes and Adrian will play the role of sylar in future episodes?
But there's seems to be a bit of Sylar yet as he's quietly 'ticking away' before he cops on & wakes up to reality

    Whats happened to Hiro...
I really wanted to see Ando boost someone up...when Hiro was bleeding Ando should've tried to boost Hiro to see if he could get the ability working properly again... But they just made Hiro "sick" or otherwise he would have it toooo easy and stop time and set things straight... didnt like the way they made the hiro/ando storyline now that i think of i

Lets hope in the next volume there is REDEMPTION!!

Btw: Can someone put a poll on this, as i cant seem to find the option here

He might do a cross-over by beaming in?:D

Hayden and Milo will go next...trust me, actors jump ship when they see a show dying on it's arse. It's bad for there rep. to be associated with a lame duck. Qunito jumped ship first, i assure you others will follow.

Just something that they never cleared up, but does Nathan (Sylar) going to have the healing power still or what.

Kinda closed it back to a situation that we can see it going in the way it showed at the end of season 1 where Nathan was president in the future.

But I gotta say that it was the best use Sylar made of his powers since he got them in the whole framing Danko thing.
    Great idea.

Shows there are at least some smart writing left in heroes at the moment.

    i liked it.

i taught it was a big step up from all the other episode's except last weeks as that was just brilliant.
i dont like the idea of nathan being sylar. the show was built on sylar and everything around him. if quinto doesnt come back season 4 will suck.
i did however like the idea of what they did. i mean using matt parkman to turn sylar into nathan(btw what the hell this angela see in her dream if matt was to save nathan(how could you get that mixed up with saving someone).

it was a decent episode, not a great ending but a decent episode none the less

Presumably her dream was quite jumbled, showing Nathan in trouble, Parkman entering and Nathan suddenly being fine....

Not sure how to feel about the ending.... It's interesting.... To whoever asked above about Nathan/Sylar retaining the ability to heal, yes of course he does... He's basically just Sylar forced to believe that he's Nathan Petrelli.... He's already unwittingly used his ability of understanding when he fixed the clock... I think that they're trying to hint that it's almost a new beginning for Sylar, given that the first time his power of understanding ever manifested was while he was working with clocks....

Can't believe no one has yet remarked on how AWESOME it was that the president turned out to be Peter shapeshifting... That was f*cking SLICK!

for a second i thought the president was a hero with a power, like sylar was already beatin to the postion by someone else, which would have been so much better, then sylar would run away to fight again, and does anyone realise that peter can now be pres,

thought it was ****ing re****ed that they didnt kill sylar when they had a chance, how ****ing stupid are they, honestly to unbelieveable, and i really like this show, quinto has to come back as this making sylar nathan wont last long, sylar has healing abilities, whatever parkman erased (or wrote over) will just come back, only the haitian could take to memories, cause he actually removes them not write over them, this is why claire couldnt remember it ever happening to her for years,

id say theyll leave sylar out for a volume, so quinto can film another startrek film maybe he might get the 2 in (would make sense to film the 2 together and save costs), and then come back for volume 6, given that 5 will take up half a season,

they were saying earlier in the season that it cost 2 million quid to make an episode, 2 million quid an ep, and they couldnt show nathan and peter fighting sylar, how much are they paying the f***in actors,

honestly if this returns and chuck doesnt its a disgrace

So instead of seeing the fight, we had to rely on the acting ability of Hayden Panettiere's eye? Why don't you just punch me in the face Tim Kring, it'd be kinder.

For the fourth time Heroes fails to produce a proper series finale but I thought this episode was one of the best in the series. But more suited to a middle of a series show.

The ending seemed very like a Show end with all ends tied up except for Ali Carter. I'm not sure if I'll have the enthusiasm to watch next year, maybe wait a couple of shows to see what the feedback is like.

there will still be blood, the other power he obviously used was forcing sylar to shift back into himself, must have been some sort of shockig ability,

peter obsorbes the abilitie(s) of the people he touches, but if he were to touch say hes mom, and obsorbe hers, he would loose all the abilities he got of sylar again, which you know he will, at some point,

gah!!!... how could they not show the fight??? I mean when you think of the likes of Star Trek, every episode had explosions, CGI, space battles, aliens, alien planets... etc. How the hell could they not squeeze out some funding for a 20 second fight between Sylar, Peter and Nathan

It seems America has gone for quantity over quality. They seem to be churning out new shows every other week. The only ones that survive will be the ones that don't rely on any special effects or cgi. Sad because it's killing Sci-fi.

and you wonder how the like of stargate (15 years) and BSG (4 years) affored all the CGI they used with (according to the nelson ratings) audiences under 4 if not 3 million viewers, heroes get average of 6 million, WTF

    (edit)
also jericho, had more or less zero CGI, it was filmed in a desert, and had 7 million viewers, and was cancelled after one season, and brought back for a pathetic 7 ep second,

This would have been a brilliant episode but I only gave it a 2 because of the huge fecking plot hole which is really pissing me off and bringing down my view of this show.. The writers just convieniently forgot that Claire's blood can miraculously bring people back to life (Noah.. ). So when Noah gets shot in the head, NO, he isn't dead at all, it's not like brain damage can disable him! Then Nathan get's his throat slit and thats it for him.. no bringing him back to life ffs. What a joke.

The last bit of the episode with bits of Sylar creeping through.. that should get me excited for the next season but it dosen't in reality, I just don't care that much anymore
They should never have allowed Claire's blood to bring someone back to life because it creates problems like this and dosen't really allow them to effectively kill off a character..

I think the only reason Il watch next season is to see where the writers go with Peter.. he has just become an interesting character again, being very powerful suits him.

Edit: one more thing I saw on another forum, If Peter has only absorbed one power from Sylar.. that will no doubt 100% be the end of the show for me. If thats the case it will make absolutely no sense.. how the hell could Peter just decide which power to take etc. The way he mentioned to Sylar "bet you didnt thnk id take this power.." or whatever, kind of suggests this.

if that is correct, didnt he shake hands with mohinder at the end??? I also thought this was the case...

EDIT: you can't see it as it is off camera but definitely looks like a handshake!

Well that was pretty bad. No fight. Thanks tim. It was bad enough when you pussied out and gave that piss poor excuse for a fight in season 1 finale but this is taking the piss.

Tracy is going to be returning next season as the human puddle. Fear her as she gets in that hole in your shoe and soaks your socks. She's unstoppable as long as you don't have an empty coke bottle about.

Since when the hell could sylar fly. After the "fight" with nathan he flew in the window.

Sylar's dead. Well he isn't but he kinda is. What a load of crap. If they are going to kill him off then they should have killed him off properly and not jipped us out of seeing him get killed. Hopefully this means we'll be seeing him again, more than likely we won't.

I really should have watched this before watching chuck.

yes he can choose, thats the only power he got after taking the injection of the stuff hes dad made, holding one persons power at a time,

i dunno id say sylar was more levitateing, than flying, which he could easily do, nathan would have pushed him out the window and down 1 or 2 floors, and he just made sure he didnt smack the floor,
