Got bless the man whoever invented this wonderfully filling food. Proteing, fat, starch. Everything you need for a days work. Anti-hangover. Anti-hunger, Anti-vegetarian.

God curse the man who decided I had to get braces fitted a month ago. I haven't had one since. And every morning I amble past the local Spar, the smell of pudding and rashers backing under a lamp wafting outside. Every time, I feel a little bit empty inside.

So here's to the breakfast roll.

Only 11 more months until my next one.

    Arse

When I was back in Ireland I had one every morning for the first five days.

Roll, butter, sausages, rasher, hash browns, white pudding, fried egg, cheese, ketchup.....epic.

    STFU.

You can't eat them for a year? Oh no! I can never eat them. Damn you! Damn coeliac disease!

Rolls are one of the things that pisses me off the most that I can't eat. Its so **** when you really want decent filling food, but the only thing you can do is buy chocolate bars or crisps.:mad::mad: (Talkin like if your in school or college or work situation, the general situation where people would end up buying breakfast rolls like.)

Your dentist decided - he will probably make you wear the braces for two years instead of one.

I officially hate you for pointing this out.

I can't bite anything hard, or crispy. It's bloody annoying.

brown bread sandwiches with chicken stuffing, lettuce and onion.. beats a roll any day imo.

Ohhh yeah...that would go down well right about now.

It's always funny explaining breakfast rolls to foreign people, well, the pudding bit. I was telling a few european girls I know from college (italian and french) that it's made from pig's blood and they almost got sick...priceless.

Never managed to fill me up quite as well as a footlong crispy roll full of dead pig bits.

a footlong meatball marinara with one of everything and spicy sauce is the best roll. Period.

White pudding isn't pudding at all, it's like the vanilla ice of the pudding world.

    also a good point..

but to combat it back in the student days, i'd rob dunnes by getting two sandwiches but only pay for a half lite of milk.

then i got arrested and have had to buy the pesky sandwiches since.

You know the roll will kill you faster than the contents.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,816 ✭✭✭✭galwayrush

I eat the healthy version, no butter and trim the fat off the rashers.:D

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 35,948 Mod ✭✭✭✭dr.bollocko

    That's not healthier.
Actually lets not get into it.
