I saw it too on t'internet last night, looks like he elbowed a lad in the side and smiled.

    Better sack him so....

Wonder if he wasn't 4 choice goalkeeper or whatever he is, would there be such uproar and massive attempts to villanize the fella.

Then you have that Margaret women, one of the mothers of the victims, saying she doubts he will be at Liverpool in the summer.

I know it is going to be a bit hard for people to hear this but thats hardly an appropriate comment for the offense either.

Even a 14 day suspension is a bit OTT by the club for me but he is being made an example off.

EDIT: I thought that song was a little bit cringe worthy as well.

He gets around 25k a week never plays and Galatasary offered £2million i think for him last year. He refused to go cause he was enjoying his time too much at Liverpool warming the bench.
At 26 you would think he wants regular first team football?

I think he is getting so much abuse because his overall attitude is lousy. If it was a youth player with some good potential then they would be forgiven. This could be the excuse to get him out of the club at last.

    NO!!!!

    He is on a contract
The club gave it to him
A contract he cannot break, neither can his EMPLOYER so
as annoying as it is he can sit there and do nothing if he wants
as it is his Employer who is giving him nothing to do!

Its his right as an Employee!

+Sub keepers are a different breed with regard to wanting to play
people hire them for their will to sit on a bench and then give out when they wont leave:confused:

BTW if the club use this as an excuse to get rid of him it would be 1000 times less respectfull to the dead than what he did!

Defo. If the club assist in blowing his actions out of proportion one has to question if they are actually that upset or are taking advantage of a situation to rid themselves of a player they don't want. If they want rid of him in the summer they should pay off his outstanding contract and let him go.

Thats exactly what I said yesterday. If it was Torres, Alonso or another fan favorite who was caught doing it on camera - Liverpool fans would be defending them. Saying "oh he didn't mean any offense, he was smiling about something else".

Itandje swayed from side to side and smiled for a couple of seconds. Thats it. In bad taste ? Definitely. Worthy of all this hullaballou ? Definitely not.

The way fans judge footballers for these sort of things - youd swear they were all saints who had never done anything wrong in their lives. If it was them that faced a 2 week suspension or sackings (as some have called for) they would be singing a different tune.

Just seen the footage...for gods sake people need to cop on he did **** all. Some people these days get offended over any little thing.

That song is more of an offense than that little "nudge" itandje did.

Also in regards to that song, it really is awful musically, but look at the lyrics.

"And when those who are to blame hang their heads in shame,
Only then will their spirits be free"

Is that something you really want to be singing to the families of dead relatives ? That their spirits wont be freed until someone admits it was their fault ? THAT is in more bad taste than what Itandje done in my opinion.

So regarding Tuesday and what could potentially kill off our season/Keep it bang on track.

Gerrard out is a huge loss. What do people think about it?

Or does this post have to go in a match thread so we can all talk about Charles Itandges nudge

would've thought the potential return of king kenny would have generated more interest than generic sub keeper no.3's bad dancing.

Gerrard is a massive loss. I'm never confident when hes not in the team but we have put in some good performances without him this season.

    Torres

    Riera
    Benny
    Kuyt

    Masch---Alonso

    Aurelio---Agger---Carra---Arbeloa

    Reina

We all had a super night at the Irishkop Legends Night on Thursday,Jan Molby Phil Neal & Ron Yeats were in great forum and we raised a lot for the HJC.We don't have a final figure yet but should have that soon, but one thing for sure the night was the most successful fundraiser ever undertaken by Irish fans towards the HJC campaign.

Jan & Phil stayed out on the beer with us and did not go to bed, they were on a early flight in the morrning so just stayed up.The resident's bar in the hotel was rocking,I know a few from here were at the night did anybody get into the Private bar or the resident's bar in the hotel..?

We had Barry Murphy from apres match doing the MC and I think he was a great new addition to these nights,he was in great forum and got loads of stick for been a Leeds fan.

Thanks for the support,we have something bigger in the pipe line and if it comes off it will be the biggest LFC related gig ever held in Ireland.

Here is a You Tube clip one of the lads uploaded, have a look it will give you a feel for the night.

Great night, and I just want to thank all involved for organising and staffing it.
With the exception of the few idiots who wouldn't stop talking in the corner, it was exceptional.
Some of the stories told were classics, and a few new ones too.

I was in the private bar and the residents bar back in the hotel alright.

Woke up with one hell of a hangover!
The trip back to Limerick wasn't fun!:P

Great, great, night though, and thanks again.

I am reading from other Scousers that Charlie was at it for long spells during the mass and that the camera only picked up half of it.

    Not exactly proof though.

Apparently Barnes actually tapped someone on the shoulder to tell Charlie to shut up.

I reckon itl be the same line up too. We are lucky Yossi is in such good form at the moment but I always feel hes more effective against the rough and tumble teams than the likes of Arsenal who play stylish football.

We are going to really miss Gerrard I think. Arsenal are without Clichy,Djouru,Gibbs,Almunia and Gallas and who knows what happens in the Fa cup.

Hopefully theyl rest a few after it. Im still condident though but its a huge game to not have our captain. 2-1 to Liverpool. (please god)

Aye, I believe Tony Pulis pumped his fists and his feet may have also left the ground as he jumped from his seat in celebration. It's pretty shocking to be honest.

I am given to understand that a complaint has been lodged with the Premier League, and arrangements are being made for his expulsion from the League Managers Association.
