    Haven't heard of several of the people mentioned on this thread.

    Others from my county (not known internationally, apart from one in Manchester): Denis Irwin, George Hook, Matt Cooper, Eddie Hobbs, Ronan O'Gara, The Frank and Walters.

    Apparently Walt Disneys ancestors are buried in Carlow, one of Michael Flatleys parents is from here aswell, and a guy called Pierce Butler (who signed the US constitution)
