HHH winning  surely his feud with Orton isnt over

Is this the first year the RR winner hasnt won at WM? I cant remember it happening before

Yea i was a bit disappointed Punk one , i would have nearly preferred if Kane would have won since i thought he was gonna chokeslam Punk. Yea Christian or MVP should have won it.

Agreed the Taker match was prob the best ive ever seen at Wrestlemania and either men deserved to win. Takers suicide dive looked soooooooo sore when he went head 1st.

I think the HHH/Orton feud might start to get a bit boring now since it has already run its course imo. They will prob have a re match at Backlash.

RR has gotten pointless over the last 2 years since Cena used it at NWO last year and Orton lost it this year. Nearly everyone who won the RR would win the title at WM

i jsut don't see where the Orton/HHH feud can go from here. To continue the story line, Orton needed to win it imo. I think HHH winning kills the momentum and weakens Orton too much. Maybe they will pull something out of the bag on tonights show though, don't know what they could do at this stage.

Looking likely that Cena will be going to SD and HHH back to RAW in the draft next week though.

the fact that people took orton seriously and many thought would win after jobbing to hhh on ppv since 2004 including 3 times in 2008 means this feud could continue to 2010 :P this is wwe, people don't remember what happened last week, cena jobbed clean to big show on raw last week and again on smackdown 2 weeks prior yet everybody still had cena as favourite for the triple threat match

Oh I wish they would get rid of this draft bullsh*t and go back to everybody on twice a week

Did we tune in to Wrestle f*ckin' Mania? Or the MTV 2 late night gig? Because if you tuned into the latter, it's not much of a wonder that you're not disappointed.

i just thaught it was a good moment after what i genuinely consider a piss poor MITB, he played well and was a good way to have the divas enter.

at least you have something to look forward to, and youll have good memories to go with the hole in your bank account :p :pac:

the way i saw this WM as a whole is that it could have been any PPV at all, there was nothing special, in fact at the start it could have been any old house show.....id prefer the cage match comin up in london to the hhh/orton match than that "main event" last night!

Was dying for CM Punk to run down the entrance aisle and take Cena's title straight off him. Not yet i guess. No way they will go with a face Punk in a copy of last year. Get heel Punk on the mic please!

They didnt show that match :(

Got to say, what a rubbish PPV. Really hated it . HBK Undertaker in the predictable reversal finisher match, with a diver over the ropes .

Kid rock sucked the life out of the event with his bullsh*t. I'd have much preferred 25 individual diva entrances. Santino wasn't funny at all.

No tag match to unify the belts?

At the risk of sounding like a 7 year old, i'd have 'marked out' really hard if Punk's theme came on just after H pinned Orton and he nailed H in the back of the head with the suitcase, cashed the MITB and celebrated his sweet, sweet victory.

Kid rock was a terrible choice,They should have gone with molly holly for the battle royal,The tag match was on didnt see it though primo & carlito won, same with the punk thing.

    I'll go through what I thought of each match one-by-one;

    1. I thought I had gone back in time 12 months because the bewildered and indifferent feeling I had at WM24 was the same feeling I had when Punk won last night. Good match, but disappointing end result.
    2. Lol at Kid Rock, I felt sorry for the guy. He tried his best to whip the crowd into a frenzy but it just wasn't happening. Way too long and cringeworthy to watch.
    3. Santina was a good laugh but I was disappointed Beth didn't get into the ring and kick his ass.
    4. Ricky Steamboat, the second I saw the shape he was in I knew it would be him left standing against Jericho. But I didn't think he'd be so good for his age. Awesome stuff and definitely a highlight. Great to se that Rourke was enough of a good sport to get in on the action too.
    5. The Hardy's, a nice slick and snappy match. It wasn't uber long and it kept me entertained. Glad that Matt got the win.
    6. Mysterio's outfit made me cringe, but it was comical to see Bradshaw get his ass whooped in record time.
    7. Although the prolonged crap outside the ring threatened to ruin it, Undertaker -v- Michaels was definitely the match of the night. Awesome stuff. When HBK kicked out of the Tombstone I really believed it was going to be 16-1.
    8. Meh at the triple threat match. It wasn't bad or anything, I just wasn't interested.
    9. Sorely disappointed with the ending between Triple H and Orton. It felt like a bit of an anti-climax. I was expectimg a shock to end the show like the result being overturned due to video footage showing HHH using the sledgehammer. Then Punk would cash in and beat Orton. Oh well.

I thought the PPV was good although as a 25th anniversary show I was left feeling a little underwhelmed. There just wasn't much in the way of surprises that would have made this show stand out from all the other Wrestlemania's and the fact that the Miz & Morrison Vs The Colons wasn't on the show, really agitated me cause I thought it could have been the dark horse of the night. Standard Wrestlemania fare for me but that in no way means I didn't enjoy the show, I did. I do think WM 24 was better.

    1. MITB was a good match. Few botches here and there but some great moves too. Dissappointed that Punk won. I was hoping for a Christian victory not only because I'm a fan of his but I also would have won €40! Damn!

    2. The Kid Rock segment went on for way too long but served as a good toilet break knowing that I wouldn't miss anything while I was doing my business!
When I noticed some of the old divas in the ring, I was dissappointed that they didn't get entrances. Good ol' Molly Holly! Didn't think 'Santina' was funny at all.

    3. Thought the legends match was quite enjoyable. Steamboat (or dreamboat as one my mates called him by accident last night) made it for me. It was just amazing seeing the a guy of his age do moves like that. The Mickey Rourke thing ended way to quickly. Myself and my mates were all just like 'Is that it?!'.

    4. The Hardys match was very good. I'd say Jeff is in a bad way after that bump at the end. I honestly thought he genuniely injured after the fall, like his spine contracted or something. Nice new look for Matt!

    5. Mysterio's outfit was soooo bad! Good speech by JBL before the match. Wish he made more of a heartfelt speech after the match though if it really was his last match.

    6. Undertaker Vs. Michaels was brilliant. They did a great job of making it look like Michaels was gonna get the win. Match of the night for me.

    7. Have to say meh to the triple threat match aswell. Nothing massively special about it. Would have been really cool if Christian won MITB, Edge reatined and then Christian cashed in straight after the triple threat.

    8. Orton Vs HHH was a bit of a dissappointment. I think it may have suffered in the same way that HHH Vs Jericho did at WM X8 in that the crowd might have exhausted themselves from a match earlier in the night, namely Undertaker Vs Michaels. The match itself wasn't fantastic but not terrible either. I just didn't get into it.

Anyways, good event. I'd give it 8/10.

Meh not really suprised it was dull-fest. It was fairly regarded view weeks before. Yet still utterly disappointed.

If this PPV was this easy to please you than anything is, your just saying that probably cause it's Wrestlemania. The only amazing Wrestlemania worthy match was Taker v HBK. It was predictable, of course it was what with the build up to the match. But I still enjoyed it none the less. Some excellent spots and very end to end just as you would expect it with the personnel in the ring. The only negative I could say was it took the life out the crowd cause it was very dramatic and exhausting(in a good way I mean of course). But then I think of the next two matches that were on after that, and I don't blame the crowd for not being totally into either Championship match. So it's probably wrong of me to blame Taker and HBK. Really should have been the Main Event.

WWE needs to re-sign Steamboat and give him a world title push :D
More entertaining wrestling wise than most of what was served up by many of the top guys. For someone his age, Steamboat did very well in the legends match. He didn't look stiff one bit in the ring.

Snuka and Piper did nothing for me. The post-match Rourke punch-up was again that horrible word.. predictable and downright crap.

Steamboat vs Jericho. 1 vs 1. In even a near 10 minute match would have been brilliant. I think The Dragon was well capable of that in my view.

Honestly fell asleep during the main event and... I'm someone who works in a nightclub so doesn't fall asleep most days till 5 or 6 in the morning :pac: I'm sorry but this was one match I just couldn't be arsed with whatsoever. It's been done to death. The only way it could have been saved was if it was gimmick match... Hell in a Cell or I Quit... something to give it life.
Only saw the ending just an hour ago and I nearly fell asleep again. I willed myself to watch it :p.

Gutted the Tag Team match was firstly turned into a Lumberjack match and then of course the travesty of it being a bloody dark match was downright a disgrace. I love watching these two tag teams and it was truly appauling it's being saved for the WM25 DVD, as they get really go at one another.

JBL vs Rey ugh. The fact Rey came out in Joker's outfit said it all... it was simply a joke. As for JBL's announcment, all predictable. But at least this paves the way for JBL to return to announcing duties on Smackdown now Tazz is gone. JBL on the mic is 5* gold, I hope you all agree. I expect JR and Cole to draft again next week. So all is good in that department at least.

MITB was alright. Yes there was botch up with the somersault powerbomb off the ladder but Shelton and a couple of others in fairness saved this match from being a complete disaster. Loved the bit where Mark Henry was involved in the spot with him and Kingston was excellent.
Shelton's senton suicide leap(looked like he landed very hard) was terrific.
The rest was kind of a blur and one I will watch again. Disappointed with Christian not being more involved. The UnPrettier of the ladder was a fail though both him though it was something I didn't expect him to do. Least it was orginal. Kofi had some sweet spots too. The jump over the ladder to the drop kick through the ladder and like I said the Henry spot were very well done. Was desperate to see either Christian or MVP win, if not them Kane or Kofi were next. But to see that Punk win it again admittedly very angry. The majority of the crowd's reaction said it all.

Triple Threat was better than I expected at least in regards to Big Show. I thought he did fairly well. Still though it was another EPIC FAIL of a match and one I wished I had fallen asleep before the beginning.

Kid Rock(who's music(certain songs) I do like) and Diva Rumble.......................................... yeah. Less said the better.

Overall: Thank god for Taker, HBK, Hardys' and Steamboat plus a few spots in the MITB match. Otherwise, very poor with Cena, HHH and CM Punk winning.

Oh and damn Lewis Hamilton to hell, the lucky bugger!

Forgot the to mention the Hardy's match. It was alright in moments. The ending was excellent. Hopefully with Matt winning the feud will continue and they put more build up espically in reagrds with Matt.

    Ok review
    MITB
Shelton nearly killing himself was not cool at all, I know he wants to entertain but crikey these spots he do are very dangerous and he has a tendency to botch quite a few which should worry him. The crowd wanted Christian to win, and the reaction to Punk winning was a let down. They need to build properly him before he cashes in the belt, they really cant **** his build up again.
    6/10
    Kid Rock
Seriously 10 minutes for this clown? When the hell was the last time he was relevant? I did like the crowd no selling him though.
    0/10
    Dias Match
Ok they brought back these divas but gave none any entrance? Beth cleaning house was awful to watch, Maryse who is champ getting eliminated was an after thought which was stupid. The Belle twins working together despite them feuding made little sense as well. Mickie and Michelle going at it was the only highlight of the match. The Santino **** was so retarded, they established on Raw the divas did not want him in the match, but throughout the match none of the 25 notice him,? **** that, wretched segment which symbolised the WWEs lack of respect or the women’s division perfectly. Beth losing was not enough to save this.
    0/10
    Legend Match v Jericho
Steamboat was awesome, he gave one of the performances of the night. Rourke botched his punch which killed the pay off to this feud. I hope Jericho moves onto better things now this shambles is over.
    5/10
    JBL v Rey
Seriousy?21 Seconds? I was expecting a much more venomous promo from JBL; to save this segment but nope we did not even get that. DUD.
    0/10
    Jeff v Matt
It was slightly underwhelming, although I did love the ending. They needed more time and spots for this to be memorable but time constraints and all that.
    6/10
    Taker v HBK
Brilliant stuff altogether, one of the best matches I have seen in long time. Taker nearly broke his neck though The only regret with this is I would love to se some of the younger guys get a 30 minute match like this to establish themselves but that’s a minor quibble.
    9/10
    Edge v Show v Cena
I marked when I seen his old entrance, the match was fun, but I was annoyed at the fools still booing Cena. Kids its no longer 2006, he spent 2008 jobbing. Its another brutal title reign for Edge which pissed me of. These 1 month title reigns are getting ridiculous right now.
    7/10
    Orton v Hunter
    No Comment:D
    2/10

Right, my patience was starting to wear thin with this bullshít of TripleH, Orton couldnt have been any better in the last 3 months..Best performer by far in the WWE..Wrestlemania 25 was set up for him to win the WWE Title..Instead they gave it to a man who was the most slow and boring performer of the night..WWE is on its last legs as far as me watching it is concerned..

Undertaker and HBK was class tbf but obvious that Undertaker would win and anyone who thought otherwise LOL.

MITB was decent but sickening CP Munk got the win..Henry or Christian should have won..I have proven that Henry = Ratings

    Divas was shít

Triple Threat was good I thought and im happy Cena won..He is brilliant on mic and in ring these days.

Jericho was good..happy he won..Really do wish Frank Shamrock went in for a fight though.

    KID ROCK WAS AMAZING

Tbh Every wrestlemania before 10 is generally poor. We always hear the hype of Hulk Andre and Warrior Hogan etc and I am sure at the time they were amazing events but if you look back and watch them they are generally dull 1 match cards and those matches fail to deliver from an entertainment standpoint.

Although 9 was probably the worst as that was a 0 match card.

nothing wrong with 2,4 and 5

5 had Bad News Brown vs. Jim Duggan, Red Rooster vs. Bobby Heenan, Rougeaus and bushwhackers, Demolition and The Powers of Pain and garvin and bravo, a barely mobile andre/jake

2 was a total trainwreck from start to finish, 3 arenas ffs, Orndorff/Muraco, savage/steele, piper/mr t, moohlah/the irish yoke, Kirchner vs. Nikolai Volkoff, Adonis/elmer, hogan/bundy

15 i forgot but 13 had the greatest wwe match in history (well at least it was before last night, now i am not so sure) so its exempt :pac:

19 was far from flawless but to say it was brutal is very unfair. We had a classic HBK v Jericho match, Brock v Kurt which was awesome and the final Rock v Stone Cold match which was a spectacle. Hell even Vince and Hogan tore it up in their no dq match. We even had a passable divas match, so I think compared to last night it looks quite the card.:D

Never bought mania after as i couldn't watch live. Thanks for all the reviews, think i will hold out for the dvd.

my internet is gone really bad so i'm gonna post and log back in later. sorry if this was said in another thread but i couldn't read em all.

Its a shame orton didn't get the win but looking back on the charchters antics it was always a long shot. In last few months he has, punted Di biase, vince and shane in the head. RKO'd and ddt'd a woman. Handcuffed hunter before ddting and kissing his wife, bullied snuka, afa jr, di biase and rhodes. Used Kelly Kelly. Threathened to stop mania if he was held accountable for punting vince, attacked people from behind, hid beinhd security lawyers and ied. Sorry guys but ina PG era they had to have hunter go over. Randy did too good a job being the nastiest person i can remember on tv. I imagine He will continue his feud with hunter and come out with the title eventually. I think many were as unhappy about who the good guy was as they were unhappy about randy not winning. In a PG era and after his antics leading up to mania they decided they needed the good guy to win. IMO randy suffered for being too good at is job.

True because you could hear very clearly RKO RKO chants..Which shows the fans are sick of HHH..He should be a heel

Kids may buy merch but wwe may have forgotten that fans that are around a long time spent thousands to get to mania. Its a pity they didn't put randy over and have hbk taker on last. His work over the last few months has been extraordinary, meaning it wasn't an ordinary good guy bad guy mania and wwe should have considered that before allowing the good guy win.
