    What does "aggrogant" mean?

Sorry but that really bugs me....

Sorry mate for bugging you, but a bad typo from a good night out (too much beer, note time of post), and I then copied and pasted the word for convenience.

Well sorry to bug the literacy perfectionists here, I'll try and give up drinking and having a good time. And I thought we were allowed to have bad typos at 2:30am.

Oh ya, the intended word was arrogant.

Were talking about the Irish show here. The one on the English show kind of appears that way, but at least she has made several investments and knows what she's taking about.

The Sarah 'one' just makes snide abrupt remarks and appears to have absolutely no intention of making an investment.

A bitch written all over her...!

just a moment ago, slags off someone on next weeks show.

'I quite like the product but I don't like you'

she is so bloddy annoying, she brings noting to at show at all, also I'm not anti english but couldnt they have got someone irish like jackie lavin or even if it was another man. i hope when she does (if ever invests) it goes belly up on her, not been mean but she always is

Sean and Gavin are great, Bobby is ok and Niall is just about bearable

    ?

Surely the nastiness of the Dragons is the main reason to watch it. If someone has a comedically retarded idea, you want to see it ripped to shreds.

Or am I just some kind of twisted sociopath?

I think she is playing a part on the show. Its all part of the format which they have to strictly follow. It appears that there has to be a woman 'Bitch' dragon.

I also think there is some scripting going on. An example of this is where the Sarah one said that a mistake had been made in one of the presentations because they were aiming their product at 20 to 35 year olds and she was 39 and didnt like this and so wouldnt be investing. This exact same thing happened in the uk version when the first woman was on it (Rachel something). It was exactly the same. Fashion presentation etc

You're totally right, thats why the english version is so popular. Theo is a bit of a nut, Deborah is fiery and Duncan is known for his no-nonsense approach.

But I don't think they are particularly 'nasty' individuals, just their business sense kicking in before they invest in thousands of sterlings.

Whereas Sarah Newman comes accross as a know-it-all, while mocking and laughing at the contestants.

You don't seem to get many drug-dealing gun runners with a business opportunity on Dragons' Den. A major disappointment.

god when that guy pricked his finger you would think by the look on her face he was just after stickin it up his arse and asking her to lick it!!

reckon she'd be happy enough if he did just that - she's got that look about her

he must have a few bob he'd be happy to invest somewhere.

How does anybody watch that type of ENTERTAINMENT? Saw 5 minutes of it one night.....copycat programme from across the water!!! SO ORIGINAL! Watching and listening to PEOPLE tearing shreds out of other PEOPLE and their ideas.....now there is a name for that!!!! Let me think for a second..............

Maybe they should put it all to music and call it something like........oh gosh, what is the name of that other programme with Simon, and Loooee, and am........ and then it would be ENTERTAINMENT.:P

I'd agree with you there- isn't there a female Irish entrepreneur they could of got to fit the bill ? Like they need a female on it for a bit of balance, Im sure there must be an Irish one about somewhere.
If it was Jackie Lavin though we'd all be on here slagging her plastic surgery and saying she's only rich cause she's shagging Bill Cullen.

I love Deborah Meaden on Dragon's Den.

Funnily enough she says mainly the same things as the other 'all male' dragons, but she's seen as the nasty one.

I think she's great and has alot of valid points.

She's not that good looking but I'd do her because you know it would be angry sex.

I watched the irish dragons den for the first time the other night and a few seconds after she opened her mouth i could'nt stand. All she's says is i hate this, i'm out.

I bet she's a spoofer and does'nt really have any money at all.

Someone mentioned earlier on that it's a franchised programme, so no, it's not going to be 'original'.

People like watching other people squirm and hearing others being bitchy towards them, whether they're pitching their singing voice or their business idea. It's an incredibly popular program so that must say something for it. Not a particularly nice part of human nature but there you go. So yes I guess it is entertainment for a large percentage of people.

    I agree.

Typical- the men are just 'shrewd businessmen', whereas she's a 'ballbreaker' and a 'bitch'.

you obviously havn't watched the program, she laughed in the faces of people as they walk in, the guys havn't done that

you tell her character is completely different to the guys.

deborah meaden isn't as bad, not as friendly but fine

Have to agree with most of you. Someone actually comes up with an idea and that stuck up oul bitch has the gaul to laugh at them. Gavin seems really sound as does sean but that oul bitch invests in nothing and just slags people off. Definately needs a toe up the hole.

Just watching it here now, she's awful. And apart from being a sour, mean and extremely irritating woman, she's pointless as an 'investor'.

Actually, most of them seem completely **** scared to part with cash, even when they obviously like an idea. This show's arrival here was catastrophic timing.

She really is a miserable wench, they would have been better off getting a nice bit of eye candy instead for the viewers.

Gavin and Bobby are the only 2 who look in any way interested in spending their money.

She done the same in tonights show.
Although she was right in this case.

He was a fat fecker, sweating like mad, wearing slacks and a jumper (no suit), seriously overweight, had his hands in his pockets during the presentation and sounded unhealthy and asthmatic. Absolutely no presentation skills and charisma whatsoever and was trying to sell "Floaters" (unfortunate product name). Floating shelves made from brightly coloured plastic and string "that even housewives could put up".
Didn't make a great impression on yer wan, and after the male dragons declared themselves out he was saying his goodbyes and had basically ignored her ! Twas quite funny really.

he wasn't great, but she ignored him, said nothing, that's why he missed her.

While she was the only Dragon not to invest at all over the entire series, every single pitch in the series was followed with a barrage of stupid excuses from all the dragons as to why they wouldn't invest.
They're all too stuck in their own markets, none of them would take a risk in anything that wasn't remotely linked to what they do already. Surely better risk-takers could have been found.

She was fairly justified in not liking yer man last night, he was straight out of the 70's. But in general she's a total wagon.
