I broke my metatarsal when I was 3. The country came to a standstill in mourning. You might see it on Reeling in the Years.

Also broke my tibia playing football nearly a year ago.

I had the nails of my middle and ring finger ripped out right from the roots and left hanging by a tiny bit of skin at the end.

More than a little bit painful tbh.

Dislocated my elbow running across the road in the rain. Taxi reversed in front of me, ttried to move out of his way and slipped on the wet tarmac.

My radius and ulna were left about halfway up my humerus. Wasn't funny. lol

Seriously thogh, that was pretty nasty. 3 weeks out of work, 5 months in a sling, 6 months physio afterwards.

Nothing yet, but I've started driving a motorbike so I'll be back here in a month or two.

I broke my left collar bone one and right one twice, at different times, palying sports, messing around.
fractured my skull, falling off a bike when a kid.
broke a rib (someone punched me)
but most painful was tearing ligaments on left ankle (football)...

    ...however funniest was my brother...
he shared a house with two girls and was leaving for work one morning. Was closing the front door (big old door) by giving it a big pull / slamming it. He realized he forgot his keys, made a grad for the door, but too late. The door closed fully, cutting off the top of his middle finger. However it remained attached to the rest of his figure with bits of flesh, skin etc etc, but inside the closed door. So now he was stuck. He rang the bell, whilst screaming, his hose mate came down, reached to open the door and saw the blood and dangling finger and fainted. He continued to scream and the 2nd girl came down saw the blood, saw fainted girl etc and though there was a mad-man outside the front door, after attacking the first unconscious girl etc, wouldn't open the door for ages..........eventually opened the door, called 999, finger top was sown back on, but he cannot feel it, move it etc....

Once i had one of them legendary turds you only hear about around the campfire..
Anyhow, it nearly split me in a half.. it took an hour for a hole to close up. Never again Dunnes sausages.

Snapped my collar bone in half, just about stayed under the skin... Was horrible cause I didn't remember when I woke up the next morning...

Never have a fight with a mop when your drunk...

Remember a lad I once knew playin football, he was in goal and someone took a shot, he jumped up and missed the ball, when he came back down everyone's face went pale, his finger got caught in the net and stayed there...

The moment of realization was priceless!

missed some fecker's face with my fist and my hand went through reinforced glass (that stuff with the wire through it)

tore my had to shreds lost a bucket load of blood, ruined a stone roses Teeshirt of and severed the tendon in my "bird" finger. nice German doctors put it back together though, cos not being able to move that finger would have been too funny

When I was 9, I ran out from behind some bushs in front of a car on chapolizod hill Dublin and leg went under front wheel .I had a big open gash on right instep. Just as well he wasn't going fast .Went looking for the spot a few years ago and was disapointed to find chapolizod hill no longer exists .

Wow, broken both ankles too, still have the screws and plates in each ankle to prove it too, however contrary to belief they never set off any metal detectors.

Someone once jumped on my foot and broke my big toe when I was 17. I'd already broken my ankle three times at that stage (have done it again since) and was reasonably tough so, when I heard the toe go, I didn't expect the pain to be bad. God, I was wrong.

The worst thing was in the hospital. I'm about 5' 11" (fairly tall for a girl) and not especially dainty but, as I was limping into X-ray, I had to stop in the hall and hold onto the wall because I could feel myself starting to black out from the pain.

Along comes this little 4' 10" **** of a Chinese doctor, sees me towering over him, crying in pain with my broken, purple toe exposed and the little pratt bursts out laughing and starts saying "aah, big girl no likey sore little toe. Ahahahahahaha. You not tough!".

I swear, he was lucky I couldn't walk because I would have plastered his head onto the far-over wall for him.

Came off the bike while trying to make an 85ft jump last year, snapped my upper arm and had to get it pinned. No fun at all and it took months and months to heal fully! I'm back on a bike the whole time again, I've learnt nothing and waiting to break more stuff:D Heres a nice xray of it

I have a long list I wont get into

When I was 12, I was about to go out the back door. Just as I was going out, my mother came in the front door. It was a ridiculously windy day. Back door slammed on my pinky. Looked down, saw the top of my finger hanging off and the bone sticking out. Cue screaming. Was pretty disgusting. Lots of blood too. Broke the finger and severed tendons, but with surgery and physio I have full use of it again! Scar is the only reminder, and the fact that sometimes it gets really, really cold.

Also broke a different finger. Numerous sprained ankles and knees. Also have patellar tendonopathy. That's annoying. Downside to playing so much sport.

When I got my metal plate in my arm the guy said that it wouldn't beep except if I went through Israel (pre-Sept. 11th). Thing is, I've noticed that going out of the UK I beep, but not anywhere else. Might just be coincidence though.
