LOL! Stuck in a lift with the wee man from strabane. An experience not soon forgotten im sure.:)

I suppose we will be too busy in our police classes to have time to listen to 'time for tea with uncle hugo d' anyway!

On another note, is everyone taking a guest to the sid? My mate is applying for c15 and I was going to take him along

i've been told its ok to wear things with discreet brand logos on them, like the nike tick, its more big football type logos they are opposed to as it could cause controversy/divides - could be wrong but was told that by someone who has been there, he didn't buy any new clothes.

I will probably bring both my parents or one parent plus boyfriend, they are all dying to see how I will be slumming it for 5 weeks haha!!

When do we let them know who are guests will be and registration of cars etc?

i still can't hardly believe it either, I haven't handed in my notice in work yet as am trying to get as much money as possible out of them but I am finding it hard not to blurt out that I'm leaving for my dream job!!

I handed in my noticed two weeks ago. I'm working for nearly another three weeks. I'm finding it mind numbingly boring now that I know I'm leaving! :(

I handed mine in as soon as i got the pack as well. Could not hack my job any longer.

Ive upped the training a fair bit although I would not expect the p.e. to be too deadly...

It's just a rough guide, and a lot depends on when your vetting gets cleared.

I was merit number under 25 non-rc and didn't get offered until april intake because of waiting on vetting being cleared - it must just be a rough guide you've quoted. Why don't you want in the april intake??!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 28 sithlordm3

My vetting didn't take long so I'm obviously less dodgy than you (kidding) lol, but under 25, thats great, why say under 25 and not what it actually was?? Go on blow your own trumpet!

Main reason for not wanting April is personal reasons and I didn't seem to have much time to give them an answer. D day tomorrow!!:(

Its not advisable to post your exact merit number as this makes you identifiable. The PSNI do monitor this forum.

What Mrs Gene Hunt said - don't want to be too identifiable!! Plus not really the blow-my-own-trumpet kind of girl, although I am interested in how the merit system actually works in terms of processing vetting etc...... Prob will never find out!!

Let us know what your answer was as to whether you are starting in April or not, and good luck with whatever you decide.

Fraid not Suzie. I was offered April, but have deferred to May. Merit was higher than I thought but under 200.
