With threads like 'What are you cutting back on?', 'Emergency budgets', 'Store closures' and R word threads, tax exiles, the dole, up to your eyes in debt etc, have you curtailed your spending recently?
(recently as when you last were spending without a bother in the world whether that money was borrowed or saved!)

Who here has been cutting back their spending habits recently for any reason particular?
Of course, some will have more money and a job more than the unfortunate others who have lost their jobs as unemployment has doubled in the last year, it will be interesting to see who in AH has been doing their own mini-budgets to reign in spending!

Me? Just the usual budgeting for endless years without living on credit :p:D

I could buy 2 packs of rich tea for a euro, if I travel to the north and go to Asda, I might just squeeze in 4 packets for my euro :D

Not buying as much clothes as I used to, food shopping hasn't changed much though.

I quite fancy a bottle of Amarone i saw for 80 euro. never drank one that expensive, tempted.:)

(I'd have to find the 80 euro first, and then pretend it was under a tenner.)

Saving like mad at the moment and we've stashed quite a bit away.
However, it's all going on our wedding in a few months. So saving .... but it'll all be spent.

Once it's over.... back to saving again.

Mars bars? Excuse me, Mr la di da.

For me it's a bag of salt and vinegar Tayto. Stings, but it's cheaper than a babbie.

They are lovely when you squeeze two together and the butter escapes up through the holes.

had to curtail my spending alright.

Bought a xbox 360 elite today and only bought GoW2 + wireless adapter instead of the normal 4-5 games at least.
    This recessions's a bitch.

For some reason my wages get smaller every month. I'm still managing to balance things alright, but there's not much room for error.

I curtailed my spending before the recession as I had to. Wasting too much money on things like gym for a 3 month member only went in twice. Things like that. I just felt the need to spend on something every week as I was bored.

Yep- had no savings when this recession began so now we have a good bit saved away

I used to buy myself a new top every month, but now i havnt bought any clothes since december, shoppings gone down about a tenner as we now only buy what we need, changed my tv and net packages to the lowest ones i could, got the free texts thing from 02 .... bla bla bla

    Result.... more money;)
