    Samsung 40" LCD.
Two laptops, one with XP, one with Mint Linux. Home network with media streaming.
    XBox 360.
Nokia N95 (the greatest bit of technology I have ever used.)
    Cowon S9 MP3 player.

    I love the technology malarky.

Will be buying a 32" - 37" LCD TV soon to replace the poxy CRT in the flat I moved into a few months ago, aiming for 37" ideally to make full use of 1080p pictures.
I'm all iPoded up, have a new phone, laptop etc... Haven't even touched an audio cassette since 2002:p
As far as DJing goes, I'm fairly ahead in some aspects, but still not on the bleeding edge - Pioneer DJM800 + Ableton + CDs
Stopped buying vinyl a couple of years ago and moved with the times

Two 42" plasmas in the front room between three of us living here. For some reason it never occurred to us that two TVs of the same model in the same room might cause a certain problem with remote controls... *sigh*

The only thing bleeding on the bleeding edge of technology is your wallet :(
get some polaroid film out of an old calculator or laptop screen

you'll need 4 pieces , put on the IR sensor on the TV's and on the remotes, provided one set are horixontal and the other are veritcal then each remote will only operate one TV when you hold it flat, when you tilt it so it's vertical it will operate the other TV

but that involves tilting one vertical. people can't deal with such an inconvenience these days.

if this guy invited a beour to his house all she would remember is having to tilt the remote and that the guy is therefore a weirdo who can't be trusted

You only need to tilt remote A if you want to change channel on TV B

Got rid of all the CRT computer monitors a while back ,
but sill have CRT TV , and won't even think about getting widescreen for a while yet

My handheld gaming is currently restricted to a Game Boy Micro, because my DS just kicked the bucket. My phone is a 3 year old Nokia piece of **** that I can't afford to replace.
I've got an iPod Touch and a 2 year old Macbook Pro though, and we've a Wii and Xbox 360 in the house. 42" LCD TV in the front room.

I'm not one for gettin the latest gizmos for the sake of it or anything like that.

Telly; Old big thing that I bought for 100 notes.

    Car fleet; '98 Scorpio, '94 Mazda 626, '74 Rover V8(Rumbly!)

PC; Have laptop & broadband. (40th birthday present frm Mrs Whosbetter?)

Clothes; Mostly from the 90s. (I know a good Seamstress)

    Alarm; I'm not alarmed...

Music; Still have loadsa cassettes 'n LPs. Got into CDs recently...

Still, met the Missus thru the Net years ago & produced one of the first 'cyberbabies'.

So I use the 'new fangled stuff' where it's needed really.;)

Finland has already switched to digital tv transmissions last year (no more analogue there), so moving home was a downgrade in that respect but at least I have a new LCD tv here. I have a fast wireless broadband connection here but in general Ireland is a little behind for broadband too.
I broke my laptop so I'm on an 8 year old pc which has been souped up with more RAM and an NIC :( I'm not big into games so I don't have a console at the moment. My MP3 player is 1 Gb Pacard Bell, bought it about 3 years ago.I don't normally try to buy fancy phones but I recently swtiched to bill-pay so now I have a nice Nokia 6500 (or at least I think thats its number).

I don't upgrade unless I have to. Investing in a larger TV than the small box shaped one I have now would be a waste as I rarely use the TV.

I don't have any of that portable MP3 player crap. The latest technology is generally a load of expensive bollox crammed with half assed features that seem very situational to me.

have one telly in the house, and it's big 3D box one, not the 2d plasma kind. we videotape stuff that we want to watch later on VHS as well.

mostly my mp3 player (not an ipod), but it's a 6-7 year old mp3 player. kinda looks like a gameboy tbh. ), but every now and then it goes into a coma and i pull out my old discman.

thankfully, no, though i was this time last year.

actually, ive spent teh weekend playing sonic on my handheld sega gamegear.

i have a 32inch widescreen telly with dvb-s freeview + analog tererstial thru a core2extreme, 4gb, 64bit, quad tuner, vista ultimate sp1with tv pack (for time shifting and series recording), but i much prefer browsing the net

i have a modded xbox 360 but also have a baby (hence up at 6:30am) so don't use use the xbox

i don't have an ipod, but there is a radio in the car so i'd never use one

i have a digital camera, I always loved taking photos

i have a nokia n78 as i need to be able to test nearby wifi networks and check for 3g coverage as part of my job

The only big 'tech' purchase I've made in recent years was this computer - it's a gaming monster! As for Ipods etc.. I still use my 20GB Creative Zen Touch for mp3s, and that even looks like an antique compared to the things I've seen others use. The last console I bought was a PS2. The problem is that these things become obsolete so fast. At least with my gaming PC, I can use it for non-gaming related stuff too, and perhaps upgrade one or two things should I find it struggling with a future game.

Dont own a TV or any kind of music system.

The only non-fixed appliances in my house are a kettle, a 10 year old radio, an iphone, and my laptop. I really, really dislike gadgets, and prefer to keep things to a minimum.

Should posts in this thread be addressed to people in 2009 cause if so, my **** is ultra modern.

My mobile is Nokia 3510i and I've had it since 2003. Sturdy as fook!

Texts and calls and it has the internet so I check the soccer scores when I'm around town on a Saturday afternoon.

No, I'm not a retro snob, proud of not getting a new phone. But it does the job and I'm seeing people in work getting broken screens on their iphones.

I like my phone and I'll keep it another few years :)
