What do Liverpool fans expect for the rest of the season?
What would you be satisfied with as a minimum at the end of the season?

Hopefully keep up the league title challenge. Utd look they'll win it, i just want Liverpool to make them earn it and not let them strolll to it if they are to win it!

82-86 points will please me, can see United finishing somewhere between 85-90, so if we are right up their hole at the end i'll be happy!

Only winning the league title is acceptable.... Well, either that or Old Trafford burns to the ground

I'm also very disappointed to see the mentaality of Liverpool supporters, it seems very much to be "Settle for second place"

Liverpool shall always dwarf Utd. Ta-dum tsssh!

I expect nothing, I hope for a semi-final berth in the CL at least and no worse than a good second in the LP.

You thought at the start of the season Liverpool would be in this position?we havent won a league title in 20 years and still the only acceptable achievement is 1st.We have no god given right to be there or win it.
Man for man our squad is not as good as United's or Chelsea's imo and its down to hard work, some great players and a great manager that we are in with a chance.
Any right thinking Liverpool fan at the start of the season wanted to be in this position or around it.

NO mate it appears as though you have too high expectations!

His post was spot on - why SHOULD pool be winning the league?

Exactly what do you mean by 'not accepting' Liverpool not winning the league? Have you been writing angry letters to Anfield every year since 1990?

It's realism. Start of the season, a title challenge was craved. So far that craving is being satisfied. If Liverpool finish second, it's not a disaster. It shows progress that we're going in the right direction and that a league title is not far away.
You'd swear this was the 1970's. Did you miss the last 19 years or something??

Dwarfs the United thread because theyre all on here letting on to be Liverpool supporters. Youl can tell by the comments like "Second place would be great" and "Rafa's doing a great job"

Only winning the title is acceptable, you say. So if we don't, it's not good enough and Rafa out????? Is that what you're saying??

how about you answer the points posed to you?

why SHOULD pool be winning the league - is this purely based on their PREVIOUS dominance?

On that basis United should be winning a double as a minimum every year given the amount of time Ferguson's been there.

    Sack him.

That's actually a myth I see alot of Liverpool supporters qouting, it simply isn't true. His first season in charge he finished lower than Houlier in his last season.

    Oh go away Boggles.

The CLUB AS A WHOLE is infinitely better than it was when Houllier left and the vast majority of that is down to Rafa.
