I hate these idiots who come on and say "lol I'm happy with my pint of..." when it comes to these things. Anyway, no it shouldn't be made illegal, if you do it once I don't know why the hell you'd want to do it again, it's probably good as it puts people off drugs it's so f*cking horrific!!!

If i was cynical enough I'd say that's exactly why it's illegal, people would think that if that's the legal stuff the illegal stuff must be far more intense when it's really not the case.

Absolutely agree it's an awful awful thing... I remember thinking i was part of the truman show... except it was called the megan show and nearly started to cry, and all this happened while sitting totally still....

weird stuff! Maybe the government should give it out for free as a deterent... :pac:

Did it a few times, always enjoyed it when I did it. Of the two dozen or so people I know that have done it, about half said they enjoyed it and tried it at least once more, about a quarter didn't like it and about a quarter got no major effect. Do I think it should be illegal? No. What would be the point.

yep crazy stuff altogether, smoked some 65 x when i was drunk b4,, lashed a fair bit into me and i was in a small enuff room with a few lads, i remember wanting to get out of the room but i couldnt coz i was zipped into the lads sittin either side of me, so before i was able to get up and go into the other room i actually had to unzip myself from one of my hands all the way up my arm around the back of my neck and all the way down the other arm to my other hand, ony when i done this could i stand up and walk over to the door to the other room, well i went into toilet and i took me a few mins to get my sh*t together,when i went back to the room one of the other lads had panicked and ran out of the house screamin hahahaha...........................neeedless to say ive taken it every day since then (yea rite hahah)

Funny thing about Salvia. When I was a stupid kid (read- six months ago) I'd decided to be all high and mighty and move out and live with this Guy- you know, try and make my way in the world while I still knew everything. Unfortunately, said Guy wasn't the character I worshipped him to be, blah blah blah, cut the violins. He got me to try pot, which turned out to be a horrible experience for me- very strange- I know that pot isn't supposed to be a hallucinogen, but understand this.

I hallucinate enough already as it is.

I'm not exactly the picture of mental health, far from it. I don't NEED drugs to be on a head trip, as I tried to explain to him, but he assured it me it was "totally safe."

After a few minutes, I thought I was caught inside of a giant rotating crystal, which was really cool at first. It wasn't entirely a visual thing, more of a perceptual thing. My perception of time was also ****ed up the ***. It was after what I think was a few hours of TOTALLY tripping out on things that it started to get really bloody scary. My ability to discern emotion from rationality went away entirely, I felt things that I hadn't allowed myself to feel for months, scary things, and I basically had a mental breakdown. They said I screamed and sobbed for four hours. I wasn't really present for it, I just remember having absolutely no control over the connection between what I was feeling and how my body reacted to it. The most frustrating thing about it was that nobody I'd ever heard of had a reaction remotely similar to this on pot, and they didn't really believe me when I tried to explain the whole "rotating crystal" thing.

That ended my experimentation with pot or any heavier drug. At least, for a time.

Now, last week, my best friend got some salvia and decided he wanted to try it. At this point, I'm much more mentally stable than I was, there's no turmoil in my life, I decided to give it a go in hopes I wouldn't flip out again. I hadn't heard all that much about it, except that, for one, it was legal, for two, you got a head trip and a case of unstoppable giggles, and three, the trip was over after a very few minutes. THAT was the dealmaker for me- I hate being under the influence of things that I can't sober up out of on command, especially in the case of a few hours.

When I tried it, the experience was very similar to my rotating crystal experience, except that I was inside a paintpot of paisley and I was flowing along the pattern. Once again, Time itself went away and I had no concept of self. It was fun as all **** and it only lasted for about five minutes.

Some of us really like the experience of being totally mentally out of it, but we don't like long, deep dives into those places. When you spend long enough there, especially with someone like me, you start to get afraid that you won't make it back. This is something to do sitting in a nice comfy room, all locked up away from the world, with a friend watching over you.

(And yes, my absolute favorite thing about this drug is that I can give it to my friends and when it's over, I can say, "And THAT'S what pot does to me, thank you very much!" ^.~)

Actually, there's nothing overtly odd about your reaction to pot. If you're repressing feelings, or aren't the most mentally stable, it's likely to cut through any mental defense you've developed to stop yourself thinking along certain lines and can be quite an unpleasant experience as a result. It can be psychedelic too.

It's also a strong indication that one is susceptible to eventual HPPD if you have hallucinations or delusions from pot. In which case, I would advise the above poster to leave the salvia for very special occasions or not at all.

I smoked some of this about 8/9 years ago in Australia, one night while already stoned on the tweed.

I had a ball on it, a few visuals and some sort of "out of body" type lookin down on the room from above thing.

Wouldn't be into it again though, then again I don't take any drugs (apart from the demon drink) these days.
