I've had 8 in as many years:

    Nokia 3330
Nokia 3330 (dropped the first down the toilet...did the same with the 3210 but the hot press fixed it)
    Sagem MyV55
    Samsung ZV10
    Nokia 6300
    Current: Nokia N95 4GB

I had a badass Panasonic phone handed down to me from my older brother that got crushed the day i got it when I fell on it playing soccer at school.

Then I had a Nokia 3210 for about six months, a Nokia 8210 for a year and a half, a Siemens C60 for a year and a half, a Nokia 3120 for two years and my current Nokia 5200 for just over a year now.

So six, including the one that lasted me a day.

    6....

1998 Panasonic thing. Came to an end when my dog ate the charger and it could not be replaced
2000 Nokia something or other. Never liked it and couldn't wait til I was due an upgrade
2001 Another Nokia. Worked well til it met some contact lens solution. Renu 1 Nokia 0
2003 Another Nokia. This time with coloured screen which looked sh!te to be honest
2005 Motorola flippy thing. Looked good but what a rubbish phone. Never again
2006 Sony Ericsson flippy thing. Loved this phone. I actually owned two of these. The first one I dropped after a couple of days and the screen went weird. I fibbed to the lad in Carphone Warehouse, saying the screen had gone wrong all by itself. So he gave me another one
2008 Another Sony Ericsson. Nice phone with mp3 player and camera and radio. Me loves it.

I'd the old Nokia 3210, was robbed by 12 scumbag kids on O'Connoll Street. Joke was on them since there was lines through the screen and it turned on and off every time a text was sent.

I'd a Nokia 3310. Was out with friends and we were messing about - either way it ended up in a puddle looking very unhappy in pieces.

I'd a Motorola Blue looking flip phone thing - It broke after a week (got my money back :D)

Then a purple flip phone - It broke after 2 days - got my money back and it was the first and last time I'd ever seen a €100 note!!

Then I got a Sagem myx52 or something. I lost it in Coppers one New Years, along with dignity, shame and wrist watch.

I was phoneless for awhile, but had a replacement Sim, the old Coppers sob story worked in Meteor, she repliacted my sim, had my credit and everything on it.

Had sim for 2 months, then my friend gave me his old Nokia 6020 which I still have the past 2 - 3 years. The power button cover on top fell off and the screen scratched, the plastic over the camera bit fell out. Parents offered me a new phone for Christmas since it looked shabby. I decided to get a new pink phone cover instead, now it looks brand new :D

So that's 6? Even I'm surprised at that!

    3 - inc current

Briefly switched to one of those 1st gen camera phones from Vodafone ( sharp i think) I bought for €20 in Trash Convertors - It met a fairly horrendous death:

Broke the screen and a hinge after I belted my thigh off a bench vice with the phone in my pocket

took it out to examine the damage

Seeing as it was already b*lloxed - we got out the tin of Nitro-Mors varnish stripper and poured it on top - the thing melted within 2 minutes

forgot to take out the sim card though :(

Went back to the 3310 - lasted me 5 years in total

I kept it till the number 7 stopped working - Still have 4 spare battaries I got off eBay :)

Ive had a Sony 800i ( i think) for a year - most of the paint is wore off already

one, i didn't get a phone til 2005 (when my parents got sick of people calling the house to talk to me). It's a nokia something or other, it's grey and beat up and makes and receives calls and text messages, kinda cool.

    Think I've had 7.
    Lost one (my first one)
    Two developed faults over time.
The others were obsolete by the time the batteries wasted, so I replaced the whole phone instead of buying an expensive battery.

Six. First one a nokia 3310 which I still miss, had it about two years and only got a new one coz the battery went. Then some Siemens one, which I hated (I only like Nokia), then a silver nokia one which ended up in a toilet, then a red nokia one-the on off button broke on it but everything else worked, but I didn't realise the on off button was broken and let the battery go flat  then another ANCIENT siemens one with a broken screen (second hand), which I traded in for my sisters Motorola one, and now I'm back to Nokia. **** that's seven.
