I've never heard of it before I read this thread. Does that mean I live in a cave

A Bat cave would make sense.

If it helps to know, Beyonce did not write that song.
Ooh and it was co-written by a man:)

If I were a black woman with the big ass and light chocolate skin but otherwise appealing to the aryan ideal of beauty, forced from a young age to force 3 octaves into every bar I'd make f*cking millions out of it by making retarded songs that inspire young sluts women that they too can achieve the American dream, not through artistic integrity, nor intelligence, but by waving their ass and tits in front of men.

    You're all mad! It's a cracking tune!

There's musical snobbery dripping from almost every post here. Pighead knows for a fact that every single one of you like that song (especially Dragan)

The same people that that say they hate all these modern songs projecting chicks as feisty and strong will praise Kate Bush, Aretha Franklin or Tori Amos in the next breath even though they sing about exactly the same stuff! Difference being they're cool.

This isn't a new phenomenon. Women have been singing about men being rubbish for ages! RESPECT, No Scrubs, You oughta Know, most of boys for pele, all men bashing tunes are ok to like. If you're slagging off Beyonce then you can slag off almost every female recording artist over the past 40 years!

As Kelis once nearly sang "Pighead hates you so much right now!"

while browsing 4chan the other night i saw a porno where the lady made a sandwich while taking it in the pooper.

    it should get an award.

LOL Good on you Pighead - you still give us a laugh!

But Pighead, at least the women you mention aren't hypocritical - they're not proclaiming how much they hate/don't need men, while on their next single begging some guy to come back to them.
And they're not constantly dressing like pole-dancers in order to make the boys like them.

I actually like a lot of Beyoncé/Destiny's Child tunes - some of them are very funky and catchy, and they've great voices... I just have no time for what they stand for.

Listen the thing about Beyonce is that she's an independent woman but you still have to pay all her bills, and also you really have no idea what it's like to be like her because you're just a boy so remember to treat her right or she'll find another you in a minute and propose as soon as possible cos if you liked it, well then you really should put a ring on it, right?

Not a bunny boiler/hypocrite at all then :D

No offence Dudess but who gives a fanny what their personalities are like! It's all about the music man! Pighead has no intentions of ever making friends or going out for a beer with Beyonce or any of her hypocrite friends.

No, their job is to provide Pighead with top quality pop songs that make him smile, tap his foot, throw his hands in the air and shout "You go girl"

There's plenty of hypocrites and horrible people in every genre of music. Liam Gallagher, John Lydon, Lars Ulrich, Johnny Borrell, Mick Jagger etc etc etc. Fcukers the lot of them. Some cracking tunes though!

I think the current teen generation should take inspiration from such artists as LadyGaGa rather than Beyonce. I think her latest song Just Dance is modern poetry, to quote a few random lines:

Can’t find my drink or man.
Where are my keys, I lost my phone.
What’s go-ing out on the floor?
I love this record baby, but I can’t see straight anymore.
Keep it cool what’s the name of this club?
    I can’t remember but it’s alright, alright.

    Just dance.

Wish I could shut my playboy mouth.
How’d I turn my shirt inside out? Inside out babe.
    Control your poison babe
    Roses with thorns they say.
And we’re all gettin’ hosed tonight.
What’s go-ing out on the floor?
I love this record baby, but I can’t see straight anymore.

Probably been said already BUT actually the relevant lyric is
Female: I know the territory, I've been around, It will all turn to dust and will all fall down, Sooner or later, you'll be screwing around

    Meat: I wooooont doooooo thaaaaaat
at the very end of the song.

I think Snoop Dogg said it best in his classic heartmoving song "Can you control your ho?"

Can you control your hoe? (You got a bitch that wont do what you say)
You can’t control your hoe? (She hardheaded, she just won’t obey)
Can you control your hoe? (You’ve got to know what to do, and what to say)
You’ve got to put that bitch in her place, even if it’s slapping her in her face.
Ya got to control your hoe. Can you control your hoe?

Its very clear that Jay Z just cannot "control his ho".

I'm not so sure about that. Jay Z apparently has 99 problems and a bitch afaik is not one of those.

so the thread title should be 'Beyonce's 3 month and 14 day old song "if i were a boy"?
tbh i'd say it's years old, she wrote it aged 11 when Johnny Smith threw his lunch milk over her and called her smelly. She updated it by cutting out the verse about how boy cooties are a million zillion times worse than girl cooties.

It's hardly her fault, the record label dig through songs and throw them into her hand, she squawks through them, improve the audio digitally, sell ten million copies. No-one constructs a coherent narrative through songs - John Lennon says "I am the walrus", but in another song says that he wishes to hold someone's hand - what with? His tusks? And then in another says "Money: that's what I want" - what for?

Liar, there's no such thing as the boy cooties.
